Why do you have to trim cows’ hooves?

Lameness is often recognized as one of the main reasons for culling in dairy herds. Many studies around the world have found that the incidence of lameness in dairy farms is about 50% of cattle. Lame cows present:

  • Decreased milk production
  • Fewer pregnant cows
  • Many cows going to slaughter
  • More management of these cows
  • More milk is eliminated

Researchers estimate that 2% of clinical cases of cows with lameness die and that 20% are discarded. The economic losses associated with lameness in dairy cattle are between $ 300 and $ 350 for each clinical case.

Here at Victorian Hoof Care Services you can forget about your horses’ hooves since we will take care of them properly and help you keep your horse healthy and strong. Contact us today if you want to know how our services will benefit your cattle.

Because you have to

In a 1,000-cow dairy, this means a cost of over $ 100,000 for this concept. Can you ignore this problem?

The reasons why a cow may be lame are complex because many of the factors may be interrelated with one another; however, the main reason why cows limp is mainly based on cows that are walking on sloppy (non-aligned) hooves, with an imbalance of the weight-support ratio.

Excess weight on one of the hoof toes or excessive wear and / or growth makes cows more likely to become lame. Therefore, it is necessary for cow hooves to be checked and trimmed for two reasons:

  1. regain the distribution of the cow’s weight between the toes of the hooves and between the legs of the cow.
  2. early detection of lesions on the feet of cows.

It is important to recognize that not all cows being checked require trimming because excessive trimming of the hooves can create a higher incidence of lameness.

Horny hoof growth

Before balancing the surfaces that distribute the weight of the cow, it is important to understand the growth of the hoof, the distribution of the weight of the cow on the hoof and the anatomy of the cow’s feet.

Consider the horny growth of the hooves: The hoof of the cow can be valued as a modified skin. The lateral wall of the hoof grows approximately 1/4 inch per month while the sole of the hoof grows at a rate of 1/8 inch per month.

The actual growth rate of the hoof is affected by many factors such as the environment where the cow is (dirt floor vs. concrete), breed of the animal, nutrition, blood flow to the hoof and the distribution of the weight of the cow in the hooves. The interaction of these factors causes the shape of the hoof to change over time.

Because you need to

The shape of the hoof is determined by the growth rate and the rate of hoof wear. Hoof wear can be affected by many factors, but the most important are nutrition, management, and design of dairy facilities.

While many factors are necessary for proper dairy cow leg health, the reality is this: Dairy producers who have resolved to actively manage lameness in their dairies confirm that cows with healthy, pain-free legs They eat, produce and reproduce better. In addition, these cows have a greater chance of staying longer in the herd, producing long-term gains for the herd.

Grass-fed cows give the healthiest milk

A study by the Mabegondo Agrarian Research Center (CIAM), dependent on the Xunta, in collaboration with the Galego Interprofessional Laboratory of Análise do Leite (Ligal), confirms that the milk of cows fed by grazing and based on grass has a composition that it is more beneficial to human health.

Several projects financed by the Xunta and the National Institute for Agrarian Research confirmed that there are two models of cow’s milk production in Galicia: a minority based on small extensive farms, with less productive and longer-lived cows that consume fresh pastures and silage; and a more intensive majority, based on forage crops and with less long-lived high-production cows.

The studies conclude that in both cases the milk has an “extraordinary” quality, according to the Ministry of Rural Affairs, but the composition varies according to the feeding of the animals. Thus, in grazing farms, milk has a higher concentration of polyunsaturated fatty acids and bioactive fat-soluble antioxidants.

On farms that have stabled animals, bioactive compounds increase when the diet combines grass and corn, instead of being made up of this cereal in a massive way.

The experimental results confirmed that the composition of the profile of fatty acids and fat-soluble antioxidants improves when grazing is used and, to a lesser extent, when silage grass is included in the cows’ diet.

Experts highlighted that the production of cow’s milk is a “strategic” activity in Galicia and pointed out that “the growing demand” for healthy products, respectful of the environment and committed to animal welfare “opens the possibility of occupying a market niche with more and more output “.

Cattle get stressed too

Cows, like people, also tend to get stressed, and this is due to various causes: temperature, lack of adequate feed or confined spaces. Therefore, it is important that you consider these recommendations:

  • Cattle must have fresh water within reach, especially in hot seasons.
  • Food too, like water, should also be within your reach all the time.
  • Food and beverages must be served in clean containers, without pollutants such as detergents.
  • Cows need wide spaces for their movement.
  • High ceilings are also quite useful, as they protect the animal from the weather.
  • Cattle feeding is a very important pillar in this sense, for dairy cows and fattening cows, because through a balanced diet, their immune system will be more fortified.

Remember that it is essential to take care of your cattle’s hooves as well, here at Victorian Hoof Care Services you can forget about limping because we will take care of cattle’s hooves properly and help you keep your cow healthy and strong for dairy production. You can trust real experts in the area with many years of experience in the field of hoof care.

When and why to buy professional decorative lights?

When it comes to choosing decorative lights to decorate homes or public spaces, we often get carried away by the image, making the final decision only taking into account aesthetic aspects such as the shape or tonality of the light. However, although aesthetics is essential as a decoration product, as an electrical appliance there are others that must be considered.

In fact, it has happened to some clients that after having made a wonderful assembly of lights, they had to change them in a short time. This happens because the product was not made for its intended use.

There are many types of decorative lights, some professional, others only intended for specific events and therefore with a cheaper finish. That is why in certain cases we recommend the purchase of professional lights to prevent disasters in the future.

At Lighting Australia we offer you all the information you need for successful LED installation and use.

Professional or economic?

Finding answers on the web about the type of lights we should use can be a bit complicated. As well as in this article we will discuss the issues to consider before buying a product obviating the aesthetic result.

If the professional concept puts you back, you should know that the name is not given by the person who uses it, but by the quality of the product: safer and more resistant, with better materials and finishes. A technical staff can use professional decorative lights but also hobbyists and light lovers who want to decorate their home at Christmas or any other festive occasion.

Make it clear that inexpensive garlands are not of poor quality, they simply have a thinner cable, made of PVC and not always extendable. For this reason, they are perfect for interior decoration. In the event that you want to use them outdoors, always for short periods of time, such as a specific event.

How to recognise professional lights?

Here are a series of characteristics that will help you to recognize them immediately and do not give you a hoot:

  • They have a thicker cable due to a double rubber coating that guarantees greater resistance to low temperatures as well as wind traction.
  • The LEDs have a resin cover that makes waterproof
  • They have stronger hermetic connectors to lengthen the chain in an easy and safe way.
  • They are made up of modules, so the garland can not only be lengthened easily but also shortened and use accessories such as extension cords and multi-connectors.

Due to the importance placed on strength during manufacture, professional lighting items do not have as many lighting effects and models to choose from as the cheaper ranges. Therefore, thick cables can be inconspicuous and not as aesthetically pleasing when using covered spaces.

There are non-professional garlands, such as the festoon of lights, which due to the large number of bulbs they have, cause a great effect when decorating a party, the Christmas tree or a romantic wedding. However, due to the quantity of lights, it is impossible to make them in professional quality since their price would be too high.

When to use professional lights

Imagine a beach bar decorated with strings of light bulbs hanging from its awnings and bamboo poles. Visually they look great but often these lights are installed thinking about long periods of time so there is a risk of being damaged by the saltpeter.

The sea air acts to corrode the metal even if it is not a place on the beach. Corrosion and rust directly damage the electrical connection. In addition to this factor, it is necessary to take into account heat and humidity when we talk about electrical devices.

For all these reasons, in this case it is better to use a line of professional products, since its resin-coated LED lights offer a greater projection thus avoiding oxidation and saltpeter.

In any case, it is advisable to carry out an adequate maintenance of the product if you want it to last over time by means of periodic cleaning and care in its use.

Decoration with lights of a beach bar

Twinkling strings of lights that surround the spruce we have in the garden, hedges and shrubs that glow at night thanks to LED lights scattered throughout the environment. Christmas is here!

However, in the mountains it is necessary to pay attention to the cold, snow and ice that will show whether the lights are functional or not. The professional line in this case is the most recommended since, thanks to its rubber cables, they will better resist low temperatures while maintaining flexibility. As the rubber does not harden in the cold, the internal cables are not damaged.

Bright decoration of mountain chalet

During the Christmas holidays or any other special event, public administrations and commercial spaces take great pains to decorate streets and entrances to buildings. In this case more than ever attention must be paid to safety due to the large influx of public.

The lights that are within reach not only of adults but also of children and domestic animals must operate at low voltage to avoid accidental electrocution.

Complex facilities

Professional lights will be your best option when you want to make an original composition that requires several meters of lights to decorate a large area.

Some of our light cables can be extended up to 100 meters using a single power cable. This feature will make electrical installation much easier by reducing the number of electrical outlets required.

In addition, being divided into short segments eliminates the danger of having to throw an entire garland in the trash should one part stop working. Simply disconnect the faulty segment and replace it with a new one.

And of course, the series of professional lights have a large set of accessories such as multi-connectors or extensions that will facilitate your work when not only projecting the design but also during assembly.

The use of polystyrene expanded in dock construction works

EPS can be used in many applications constructive as for example lightening in civil engineering projects or as light filler in the construction of roads and railways. The properties of expanded polystyrene (EPS) as a lightweight foundation material make it an ideal product for use in the civil engineering sector. To its conditions as an insulator, other qualities are added, such as its stability, mechanical resistance and cohesion, which allow it to build structures with high vertical and horizontal resistance. The first experiences with this material in the field of engineering took place in the early 1960s in Norway. The insulating effect of EPS prevented the subsoil from freezing, eliminating the problems of thawing.

Find the most remarkable EPS in the entire Australian industry here at NPS, the leading manufacturer of high quality is expanded polystyrene (EPS) products used as the preferred material for building, construction, civil engineering and various other projects requiring insulation, cladding, void forming, flotation and light weight fill solutions.

Despite its low weight, the unique structure of this material provides the benefits of exceptional resistance to compression without losing performance with moisture. This fact makes it the ideal solution for use as a structural base filler, for example, in road, rail and bridge infrastructures, and all kinds of projects in which settlements or loss of stability may occur. Therefore, some of the most suitable application areas for EPS are the following:

  • Construction of settlement-free roads.
  • Elevation and drainage of sports fields, parks and grass areas.
  • Free settlement of spaces and land for parking.
  • Reduction of load by filling to reinforce overpasses and culverts, and by raising entrance and exit ramps.
  • Elevations above pre-existing buried gas pipelines.
  • Reduction of lateral loads reinforcing pile foundations in restoration of urban areas.
  • Elevations for noise barriers.
  • Foundations for sheds and light buildings.
  • Repair of settlements on existing roads.
  • Ramps for levees or existing buildings
  • Pavements for patios and plots
  • Grounds and industrial floors

Since the early 1970s, EPS has been used as a foundation material and civil hydraulic engineering on an increasing scale. Below are the main advantages of its use depending on the work performed.

Low Settlement Structures Despite its lightness, expanded polystyrene is able to withstand a compression load while retaining its shape. Correct design and proper incorporation of the material in civil engineering projects therefore lead to low settlement structures.

This not only offers the advantage that the structure can be put into use immediately, but also that future maintenance costs will be lower. When initial costs and maintenance costs are capitalized over a useful life of, say, twenty years, the result of the calculations always favors EPS.

On the other hand, traditional heavy fill materials like sand can cause loss of soil stability. A backfill structure using EPS does not have much more weight than the excavated ground and therefore does not affect the stability of the soil.

The principle on which the EPS construction foundations are based is not to disturb the existing balance in the ground, because the weight of the excavated ground is equal to the weight of the new EPS material installed plus the road structure.

  • Side load prevention

Unloaded materials that are loose without “reinforcement” or that have minimal tensile strength inevitably lead to road designs where the angle of the natural slope is the determining factor, while foundations using EPS may even end in a vertical border.

  • No frost damage

Its properties as a thermal insulator mean that EPS limits frost damage to civil engineering structures, even with the minimum thickness. A 5 to 6 cm layer of EPS is enough to prevent the temperature of the road foundation from dropping below 0 ° C. As for so-called frost-sensitive subsoils, a continuous supply of geothermal heat maintains the foundation temperature above freezing because the EPS insulation material prevents heat loss. However, with moderate freeze / thaw cycles, as well as snowfall, the risk of the surface being slippery is higher. However, given its properties as a thermal insulator, the application of expanded polystyrene prevents the breakage of the structure located above caused by the melting of the ground surface.

  • Small eps bridges

Another special application of EPS is the construction of small bridges using this material as a support. The base consists of one or more EPS blocks 52 cm thick, 1.25 m wide and 6.05 m long. Each weigh approximately 80 kg. The surface has 7.8 m2. For every centimeter of height, each block has a lifting force of 75 kg. A block supports a load of 3,750 kg and floats with its top surface slightly above water level. With layers for the pressure distribution of plywood, for example, the uniform distribution of the load on the EPS is ensured. The bridge is equipped with railings, entrance and exit ramps (for bicycles) and is anchored by mooring ropes. You can even drive a vehicle over an EPS bridge. However, for this purpose it is necessary to place steel sheets on the entrance and exit ramps, reinforced below with steel beams. The rotating union of the steel sheets must have sufficient strength. An EPS bridge has several obvious advantages:

  • Execution is especially fast.
  • Cost is normally only a fraction of the cost of other solutions.
  • The removal of temporary EPS bridges is very simple and leaves no traces.
  • Reuse elsewhere, as well as other adaptations, is extremely simple and inexpensive.
  • It is not necessary to use heavy materials to build an EPS bridge: the heaviest component weighs only 80 kg and can be easily handled by two people.
  • If necessary, the bridge can be easily rotated to allow passage.
  • Lightweight eps concrete

Finally, EPS can be reused, making it a suitable raw material for the production of lightweight insulating concrete. Adding ground EPS residues during the concrete mixing process not only ensures that the concrete will acquire excellent insulating properties, but also that its weight will be especially light. EPS concrete is currently being used for road construction.

Remember that here at National Polystyrene you can purchase excellent polystyrene find excellent quality products that you can acquire at the most affordable price right now. We offer the best materials to save costs and achieve unmatched results.

10 tricks so that your strapless bra never comes down

Although the bra, brassiere, bra or bra is one of the basic pieces of women’s underwear, it is known that about 80% do not wear it in the wrong size, particularly those with large bust.

Some wear it with a very small or large cup for the size of their breasts and others with a band that is too wide or too tight for the diameter of their thorax. The size of the bra changes from time to time after the development process, as well as the ups and downs of weight, pregnancies, the use of contraceptive pills, the intake of medications and foods with hormones, and age. Given this, the bras must be replaced as physical changes occur, or the part is deformed or worn by use.

The strapless bra solves us many things when it comes to wearing some dresses and some types of blouse and shirts that simply don’t look good wearing a bra with straps on. It is super annoying when it becomes a loose bra or goes down shortly after wearing it.

Today we bring you some infallible tricks so that your strapless bra does not come down. 10 tricks so that your strapless bra does not go down again.

Here at Mary’s Secret Boutique you will find premium quality underwear pieces that will protect your private parts and make you look way sexier.

  1. Measure the size of the band first and not the cup size

When buying a bra, we usually look at the size of the cup instead of the back. If you are going to buy a strapless bra these changes, it is usually one size smaller and it is important that you make sure that the band fits perfectly and closes on the first clasp. This is so that as it loosens you can go to the second and the third in the last case. Bra without straps

  1. Try it before you buy it

Not all the bra without straps are the same, the bands can be of different material and by trying it you can know more or less if the band is going to loosen faster or not. Also, the design of the cups changes and some will fit you better than others depending on the shape and size of your breasts.

  1. Use the braces otherwise

If your blouse is one shoulder discovered, do not rule out the possibility of putting on one of the straps. Although your strapless bra fits perfectly without straps, if you wear one, you will not wear away its elasticity and you will feel more secure. There are many ways to put them on!

  1. Clean your skin well before use

With a little alcohol from a pharmacy or a cleaning wipe that does not contain oils, clean the area of your skin where the band of your bra goes very well. In this way you eliminate the oils or the greasy that is adhering to your skin and this will not slip when using it.

  1. Prefer those that bring silicone

There are some bras that in the band bring a little silicone on the edges so that just no slip strapless bra

  1. If you don’t find those who bring reinforcement, do it yourself

Do It Yourself Time! With cold silicone mark the inner contour of your bra, both the cups and the elastic band.

  1. Play with the bracelets

You must remove the front strap of your bra and pass it around your body to hook it on the back. Do the same with the other strap.

  1. Look at the width of the band

Sometimes the band on the back of your bra makes a difference when it comes to doing its job. This should be wide so that in addition to giving you good support, it will not come down or that the cups loosen from the front.

  1. Pick well your top garments

Not all the work of your outfit is wearing a bra. If you wear tops or dresses that are tighter on the top and then loose, this will make it easier to fall off. Better prefer those garments that fit snugly on the torso.

  1. Take care

Do not put it in the washing machine with other clothes, wash it by hand. After washing, smooth out any dents in the cups by hand and lay them out so that the cups are facing up. Good care will help you retain its shape and elasticity for a longer time.

Bras, bras, bras or bras are more than necessary for women. They are not only essential to maintain our comfort but also for our beauty, as they allow our forehead to appear more erect and sensual.

There are several models of bras. Push up, with straps or handles, cotton, lycra, lace, sports, silicone … And a long etcetera.

Before buying a strapless style bra, check that it fits perfectly to your front. Since they do not have handles, if they are not the size they tend to fall. And nothing more uncomfortable than spending all the time getting comfortable, right?

When you try it on, walk with it, jump and move from one side to the other. If the bra is perfect in place, that is the right size for you. When in doubt, it is always better to go for a smaller size number than a larger one.

Another option that you can consider are the adhesive silicone bras. The advantage of these is that they will not come out in any way. Also, most stick to the brims on the front so they are perfect to wear with a low-cut back dress. And for women with little breasts, nothing better than push-up strapless bras to lift.

So, the next time you go shopping for your underwear, go for a strapless bra: a wild garment to wear with tops, tank tops, muscle and dresses.

Picking the wrong bra not only affects breasts shape

Although the bra, brassiere, bra or bra is one of the basic pieces of women’s underwear, it is known that about 80% do not wear it in the wrong size, particularly those with large breasts.

Some wear it with a very small or large cup for the size of their breasts and others with a band that is too wide or too tight for the diameter of their thorax.

Wearing a good bra, that is, with the correct size, style and material, is important to have a firm and healthy bust. That is why you always have to buy a good bra, despite the fact that it costs and it is necessary to change it in a short time because the bust has changed in size, shape and firmness.

The size of the bra changes from time to time after the development process, as well as the ups and downs of weight, pregnancies, the use of contraceptive pills, the intake of medications and foods with hormones, and age. Given this, the bras must be replaced as physical changes occur, or the part is deformed or worn by use.

Do you feel identified with any of these types of breasts? Remember that for a deluxe collection you can choose Mary’s Secret Boutique where you will find great underwear that is fashionable and with top quality. Visit our online store!

The problems of having a bad bra

Selecting the right bra among so many styles and brands makes “the big difference” in the healthy breasts of young, mature or athletic women.

Very often we see prominent breasts in doctors’ offices with problems with back pain or with a condition of the nerves in the arms known as Thoracic Outlet Syndrome [TOS], which includes numbness and tingling in the arms or hands; pain in the neck, shoulders and hands or weakness of the muscles of the hand .

The symptoms of TOS result from the pressure made by the thin straps of the bra in the shoulder area, where the nerves and blood vessels exit to the upper arms.

Several studies also point out that if the bra is tightened too much it can cause acne and pain in the sword, as well as create a disordered appearance by taking out (under pressure) some well-known tires in the upper area of the band that faces the armpits and the lower part of it that faces the stomach and back.

They also say that if the bra is loose, both cup and band, it will make the breasts sag due to the blow of gravity. So, you should always wear a bra with the correct size.

Daily use of the same bra, which is not washed frequently, can cause a rash or fungus. This is due to sweat bacteria that accumulate in the bra tissue, explain the doctors.

A bra should not be worn more than two days in a row, particularly if you live in a hot and humid climate area, or if the daily activities that are carried out require a physical effort that makes you sweat.

The correct size

Today, most of the stores that sell this intimate garment have specialized personnel to take the measurements that determine the number of the band and the letter of the client’s cup. Experts advise taking advantage of this free service.

The ideal bra

  • The correct bra is one that fits well and does not fit on shoulders, bust or back.
  • Depending on the model, the cup should cover a large part of the breast and hold it firmly, but without pressure.
  • The bra band should be at the same height both behind and in front.
  • The straps should be aligned with the nipples and the bust should be at the level of the middle of the arm, between the shoulder and the elbow.
  • From being a half cup bra, which lifts the bust to make it look sexy, you must hold the breast without allowing it to come out of the cup before any strong movement of the body.

Selecting the sports bra

  1. The bra must be made with a firm, but minimal tension material, particularly in the cups, straps and band.
  2. Choose a sports bra with the two cups designed separately, rather than those that come with a single flat panel at the front. The one with two separate cups controls and holds each chest in position.
  3. Sports bras designed with more coverage — such as with a high neckline, wide straps and a wide bottom band — provide better control and protection to breast tissue.

How to extend the life of the bra?

The recommended thing is to have about five or six bras and take turns during the days of the week and wash them as they are used. This helps maintain good health of the bust and lengthens the life of the bra.

Important institutions maintain that washing is the key to making a bra last and perform optimally, as well as not wearing it for more than two continuous days. The latter allows the elastic fabric of the bra to return to its original shape.

Overlapping the bra can damage the elasticity of the fabric, which is essential in providing adequate support to the bust.

To prevent the bra textile from deforming or losing elasticity during washing, it is recommended to do it by hand, with a mild soap and simply allow it to dry with the ambient air.

From washing the bra in an automatic washing machine, it should be placed inside a bra washing bag available in many stores that protects it from damage. The selection of the washing cycle should be of delicate clothes. And, obviously, you never have to dry it in the automatic dryer.

What type of underwear to wear with each garment?

What type of underwear to use with each garment? The first thing we look for in underwear when buying it, is that it is comfortable and makes us feel safe, but you must also take into account what type of garments go with each of the multiple designs that exist.

Underwear designs also have a reason: avoid those marks on jeans, those rashers on fitted garments and those contrasting colors under your garments that are only covered with bottoms. Here we tell you what type of underwear to wear to look perfect every garment you have in your closet.

Here at Mary’s Secret Boutique you will find a wide range of beautiful options, so you can choose the one you like best and have it delivered to your house.

  1. If you wear jeans, don’t just wear the most comfortable underwear you have. Thanks to the fact that the denim is very thick, it is much more difficult for your underwear to be marked when using your tightest jeans, however, if you want to avoid at all costs that the texture is marked a little, try to wear lace garments on the back so that the seams are not marked. Another option is the hot pants, they are very comfortable and perfectly cover the lateral part of your legs, in addition to making you see the smallest booties.
  2. For white pants, it is essential to wear dental floss or flesh-colored underwear, but you can also wear lace clothing of any color, as it is a semi-transparent fabric, you will feel more comfortable and the color of the fabric will not be seen. Avoid brightly colored underwear including dental floss, white jeans.
  3. If you wear a skirt or a loose and short dress, try to cover your underwear perfectly to avoid accidents. Avoid thongs at all costs and focus more on how you can move freely and comfortably.
  4. If you are wearing draped and fitted dresses, try to wear lace underwear so that the seams are not marked on your clothes, you can also wear shorts in a girdle so you can move calmly and your body looks more streamlined. If your dress is dark color, do not limit yourself in the color range that you wear under it,
  5. If you wear long dresses and a smooth fabric without drapes or textures, there are specific types of underwear for you to look perfectly. One of them is the bodysuits, they help your body to look stylized and without any type of marks that make your dress and your body do not look properly.
  6. If you are going to exercise, use cotton clothes so that it absorbs sweat and does not cause any infection, it also avoids the dental floss since they will only make you feel more uncomfortable and are very unhygienic. Find comfortable clothes that allow you to make any movement.

Baggy Jeans

The skinny jeans have come to help those who do not have many curves but a good trick to make them stand out even more, is that your jeans have bags on the back.

Heels

Heels is one of the best tricks to lift the buttocks, as they shape our legs and make our buttocks rounder and very lifted.

5 Extra tips to lift your glutes with your clothes

  1. Mark your waist so your glutes look bigger.

Straight dresses are your worst enemies because they minimize the size of your waist, the size of your butt and hips. The smaller your waist looks, the rounder and more striking the shape of your buttocks will be, so look for pants, skirts and dresses that perfectly fit your natural waist, and combine them with short blouses. Even though you don’t have much.

  1. Choose the right jeans.

Jeans with buttock bags will automatically make your buttocks look bigger, just like skinny jeans. Heels can highlight buttocks even if you don’t have them. Heels stylize your figure, but we recommend you only wear them when necessary.

  1. Wear pleated skirts.

Pleated skirts can do a lot for you, not only accentuating your waist, but flare helps visually boost your glutes.

  1. Tricks with skirts.

Long skirts will cut your body, and short skirts will streamline your legs while keeping your buttocks from looking flat. Avoid vertical lines and opt for horizontal lines.

The vertical lines will make your butt look flat; the horizontal ones will lift it automatically, especially in color blocking.

  1. Avoid leggings.

Leggings are dangerous territory, so be very careful. In the sunlight, thin fabrics look transparent, even in the most sensitive part. They also look better in a dimly lit room than they do in the daytime, where they can surprise you (and everyone around you) with their transparency.

Do underwear needs to be changed every day?

Irritations, infections or bad smells are some of the consequences of wearing any piece of underwear for a period of time longer than 24 hours.

No matter if it remains hidden under other garment pieces, it’s an undeniable statement that underwear defines us. If we don’t feel comfortable wearing a certain piece of underwear, it will surely ruin our mood and put us up to a certain condition throughout our day.

Although from a young age they instill in us the need to change our innerware at least once a day, not everyone ends up following this pattern in their adulthood, whether due to laziness, thinking that it is clean or for any other reason.

It is more common during the winter as some people do not feel the need to take a shower every day. However, it’s important to highlight the type of impact our skin can receive from repeatedly wearing such an intimate piece of clothing as underwear is.

It’s the same for both genders, for men and women it can be truly problematic if you wear dirty, unwashed underwear for two or more days, as you are exposing your genitals and groin area to different types of bacteria that could pass through the skin.

Experts in medical research have reviewed this important recommendation, confirming that it’s essential to change underwear every day. This need doubles up when you exercise frequently as experts point out that the best option is to change your underwear as soon as you take a shower when you come back from doing exercise.

If you want to purchase new underwear because yours is too old, you feel like you need more underwear pieces do not hesitate to visit Mary’s Secret Boutique, your favourite online store to purchase excellent intimate clothes for you and your partner.

Bad smells

Intimate secretions are deposited in underwear, which accumulates moisture if not changed during the day, something that can lead to bad odors. In addition, not changing your intimate clothes daily favors the risk of contracting diseases, since the genitals are more exposed to the entry of microorganisms.

Stain accumulation

Underwear that do not change accumulate stains due to incomplete cleaning after going to the bathroom. However, staining is more common in men due to increased perianal hair. Therefore, it is essential to change your underwear daily.

Increased secretions

For all genders, there is likely to be an increase in fluid secretions and discharges, experts point out, due to the accumulation of moisture, which can lead to the appearance of rashes and itching. In contact with the genitals, it can allow bacteria to enter, which can lead to infections and other conditions.

With a simple change this will be, at least, easier to avoid.

Acne and skin problems

Pimples and rashes can appear down there. Holistic health and wellness expert, say: “Make sure to change your underwear or risk accumulating dirt and oils that will cause redness, pimples, irritation and more.”

Irritations

Constantly rubbing your thighs can cause irritations, especially in summer. If you wear a clean brief or panty, it will always give a greater sense of relief. Also keep in mind that tight clothing makes it easier for irritation to occur, and inappropriate detergents or fabrics are also dangerous.

Also keep in mind that washing clothes by itself does not make all bacteria disappear, so renewing the change drawer is also important. As the years go by, microbes remain on the clothes, so experts recommend renewing underwear, at least once a year.

How each person wears their underwear is a personal and delicate matter that has to do with the hygienic habits of each one. Each person has a different way of dressing and that also applies to underwear.

There are people who consider that underwear deserves the same attention as any other piece of clothing and strive to choose the best intimate garment and even to use them combined to those who absolutely do not care about the underwear, they wear every day.

In this article we will answer typical questions related to this matter, such as how often the underwear must be changed and renewed. We will also refer to the possible risks associated with wearing the same clothes for a long time.

How often do you have to renew your underwear?

It is common to wear an undergarment for years without considering its condition, malformations, broken seams and deterioration. Recent scientific studies have shown that keeping underwear for years is not as good an idea as we could think and have provided surprising data on the number of people who do not renew their underwear daily.

Researchers from the University of New York affirm that the bacteria of the underwear do not disappear just by washing them, so that we can be wearing washed but not completely clean clothes for years, so it is recommended not to wear for more than a year the same panties or briefs.

The old underwear that we usually keep (because it is comfortable for us) to use only at home or to have in case no other part is clean is the one that we must discard as soon as possible, due to the repeated use that has been made of it. and to avoid any health problem associated with wearing old underwear.

That is why renewing underwear every year is a necessary hygienic habit to avoid any health problem.

Continued use of underwear for more than a day could lead to serious health problems if done continuously. It is evident that women may be more at risk of contracting diseases because they are more exposed to the entry of microorganisms in their genitals.

However, men can also have health problems if they do not renew their underwear daily. The conditions to which they can be exposed if they do not tend to be urinary infections, the appearance of fungi, irritation, itching and infections in general.

Tutorial: What motorcycle should you buy first?

Although many of us would like to, bikers are not born with a motorcycle between their legs. If you have just taken the A2 motorcycle license or if you dream of having a motorcycle but do not know where to start, we will try to give you all kinds of options so that you can get ideas and choose appropriately.

Motorcycles compose an entire new world and you have to start the house at the foundations, so here we leave you a selection of what options you have as good first motorcycles for beginners in all the segments.

We help you making your motorcycle look good with MotoXart on your side and enjoy quality of service along with quick delivery.

Scooter: the logical start

One of the logical steps when taking an interest in motorcycles as a means of transport, especially if there is no previous experience in the world of two wheels, is to look for that practical element in scooters that helps us move from one place to another. another one without major difficulty than accelerating and braking, perfect for the city.

Without gears, scooters represent one of the segments that keep the two-wheel market afloat, precisely because they are easy to carry and those motorcycles with which many of us have learned to move.

Kymco Ak 550 Test 009

But there is life beyond small 125cc scooters, and much more. With the A2 card in hand you can choose a constellation that goes from the most basic and practical to more radical postulates. The Vespa GTS 300 (5,379 dollars, and also in an electric version) are as popular as they are satisfactory when it comes to driving in the city, but you can also look for the distinguished touch of a high wheel like the well-known Honda SH300i (5,739 dollars).

Yamaha Tmax 025

The daring extreme is given by those large and powerful scooters with representatives such as the renewed Suzuki Burgman 400 (7,799 dollars) or the unleashed contest between sports maxiscooters such as the Kymco AK 550 (9,949 dollars) and the Yamaha TMax (from 12,299 dollars)

Custom: Maximum style

Honda Rebel 500

Do you dream of a Harley-Davidson? Would you love to pose on an Indian with your tattoos hidden under a patched leather jacket? Well, to get to that level first you have to start with less heavy bikes, because even if your seat is very low you have to learn to move a bike that weighs less during our first steps on a motorcycle.

Both in terms of dimensions and stability, ease of use and the invaluable confidence that comes with being able to get well with both feet on the ground, the small custom are great motorcycles to start in the world of two wheels with great style.

Honda Rebel 500 007

Although for the last few years the small displacement custom models are in the doldrums, Honda has recovered this segment by bringing back the small Rebels. Maintaining the philosophy that made them the most popular motorcycles long ago, the Honda CBX500 Rebel now introduce a more modern style ready to win over young audiences.

With a 471 cubic centimeter, 45 hp parallel twin-cylinder engine perfect for the A2 license, it is one of the most reasonable (and reliable) options on the market for new motorcycles at a list price of 6,100 dollars.

Retro: Lots of style (too) with a sophisticated twist

If the classic roll suits you but the custom is not your thing, there are other options that share with the Rebels many of their characteristics that make them good motorcycles to start on motorcycles. Comfortable, intuitively driven and highly capable, classic-style bikes can be great companions without giving up their cool posture touch.

Here we have more options to choose from, because the retro motorcycle segment has been hit hard by fashion and manufacturers have struggled to offer highly diversified ranges. Triumph, for example, offers the Street family, with the basic Street Twin, café racer-style Street Cup and more down-to-earth Street Scrambler starting at 9,100 dollars, somewhat more expensive but with a more generous 55 hp engine.

Sport: Adrenaline free bar

Ktm Rc 390

Strong emotions and adrenaline are perhaps the main reasons why we love motorcycles. Within this extensive market for motorcycles of all kinds, there is also room for a popular segment like few others: that of sports.

Virtually all brands have taken scale models of their large aspirational bikes without having to get on bikes with more than 100 hp, because to have fun sometimes less is more and users of the A2 card also need an injection of fun in its purest form. Light, effective and with an aggressive aesthetic, the small trainers form one of the most nourished segments.

Kawasaki Ninja 400

Yamaha has the YZF-R3 (5,699 dollars), Kawasaki the powerful Ninja 400 (still without official price), Suzuki the affordable GSX-R250 (5,340 dollars), KTM the RC 390 possibly with the best chassis and part cycle of the category (5,499 dollars) and Honda the CBR500R (6,350 dollars). Many of them are candidates for the Supersport 300 World Championship title, but they are all exciting but at the same time a perfect school to start on R bikes.

Off-road: Not even close to getting dirty

Honda Crf250 Rally

And if you are one of those who wants adventure without compromise, don’t worry, there are also options for you. Possibly one of the best picks at the end of the registered off-road bikes could be the Honda CRF250 Rally, a bike that takes Honda’s field experience and spreads it in a Dakar style for 6,000 dollars.

Considering that the objective of your trips is the journey itself, no matter how complicated it is without caring the least about the destination, Royal Enfield has a good option that also belongs to the card available for the A2 card.

Royal Enfield Himalayan

The Royal Enfield Himalayan has many ballots to sell well, and it does not give up anything you may need when it comes to throwing miles. Robust like few others, with an authentic image of a classic adventure bike and with a single cylinder 410 cc engine, the 4,395 dollars are a great letter of introduction.

Both are light, reliable, with a contained size, capable off-road and with a good dose of “throw all the mud you want on me that doesn’t matter to me”.

Here at MotoXart you will find an excellent place to look for custom mx graphics in Australia and the rest of the world as well.

Inbound marketing methodology has recovered the value of content in all phases of the purchasing process. From the moment the customer barely knows a brand until they already enjoy the product or service, we can say that there is no longer any doubt that content is king.

These make the potential buyer visit a website for the first time, for example through SEO techniques or through social networks. Then they persuade you so that customers leave their data, buy and finally achieve customer loyalty. Getting to this point is quite an achievement but the work should not end here. Loyalty customers is cheaper than getting a new one, in this task content marketing is a great ally.

Here at MLK Marketing we will define the most suitable strategy to ensure your goals are achieved and conversion rates skyrocket by driving more traffic to your website through superior online marketing in Melbourne. Contact us today!

What are the keys to achieving customer loyalty using content marketing?

  1. Analyse the customer’s life cycle and create content for all phases

To achieve customer loyalty, you have to work to win him over from the beginning when he is just a visitor to the web. The brand must accompany the user with content adjusted to the phase of the purchase cycle in which it is. To discern what content to offer, start by analysing the typical behavior of your buyer people and the content they consume.

Inbound marketing methodology divides the buyer’s journey into four phases:

  • Attraction
  • Conversion
  • Closing the sale
  • Loyalty

Following this scheme, determine which content, which formats and which strategies are the most appropriate to achieve customer loyalty. Think of each of the phases as a relationship that develops little by little accompanied by a Content Marketing strategy. If you want the result to be a customer in love with your brand, you should always take care of it and follow up.

  1. Think about value, not sales for customer loyalty

Developing content marketing strategies requires a change of mindset, the emphasis is no longer on sales, but on value creation. The user feels bombarded by commercial messages that they hardly pay attention to. What is clear is that instead, they appreciate the contents that make his life easier or entertaining.

If you have problems determining what is valuable content, try to put yourself in the shoes of the consumer and think about what their need is when they go to your brand.

  1. Offer exclusive content and make customers feel part of something

One of the most common complaints among consumers is that the advantages or discounts are reserved for new customers, leaving aside those who have already bought. If you want to achieve customer loyalty, search for content themes from keyword analysis. Do not propose content without previously doing such analysis. If you do this, you will understand that data is essential when proposing pieces of content.

Your buyers should feel that they are special to your brand, and here are some ways to prove it to them:

  • Prepare exclusive content that only they can access: guides, tutorials, courses, videos …
  • Establish regular communication through a bulletin or newsletter. This is important to maintain contact over time and achieve customer loyalty.
  • Make the buyers protagonists of your texts, sharing their positive experiences with the purchase.
  • Post testimonials or interviews is a sign that you listen to your customers and also reinforces in the readers the feeling of having been successful with their purchase.
  • Create exclusive communities aimed at customer loyalty.
  • Customize the contents to adjust them to the characteristics of the buyer.

Main customer loyalty strategies

In order to build customer loyalty, in addition to logically trying to offer the best possible product, it is also necessary to implement specific loyalty strategies.

Next, we will cite the main three:

  • Loyalty programs. It is a veteran and classic solution that, nevertheless, continues to be highly effective. You can implement the typical program of rewards points for customers who reach a certain level of consumption of our products, or opt for more innovative strategies. For example: naming VIP clients, making special gifts to the clients they recommend the most or surprising them with a totally unexpected gift or benefit.
  • Offer unconditional support to your clients. As a complement to good communication and feedback with the client (something totally essential today), the brand can become a kind of “patron” of the client herself, giving her support in her personal projects. For example, offering you a space on the website or the company’s blog to promote your book or any artistic or civic initiative.
  • Seek excellence in customer service. Especially in the post-sale period, this aspect is essential to achieve complete customer satisfaction, a step that is basic and often definitive to achieve customer loyalty.

Specific inbound marketing strategies to satisfy the customer. Through inbound marketing it is also possible to build customer loyalty. For this we must focus our efforts on:

  • Offer content of the highest quality and as personalized as possible.
  • Implement a remarketing strategy (which consists of showing ads to the user for which they have previously shown interest), but this time focusing on the content. For example, showing them a landing page with complementary content on a topic about which you have already searched for information.
  • Work a good email marketing strategy in which we cover the needs of our community in the long term. Thus, maintaining contact on a regular basis and nourishing it with relevant content.
  • Generate a community of clients on social networks, where they can exchange experiences and all kinds of comments and information about our products and services. We must be close and honest with communication to our community.

A guide to the roofing restoration world: wooden beams

Wooden beams are a warm decorative resource that brings a lot of personality to the spaces, in addition to also playing a very important role structurally speaking, since they are part of a set of elements that allow to maintain a standing space.

And it is for all this that you have to know how to take care of them, protect them and maintain them in order to enjoy all their splendor. We find wooden beams especially in old houses, so many of them can be affected by the passage of time, inclement weather if they are exposed to the elements, cracks, humidity and / or insect attacks.

We must always verify its status and if we have doubts, the best thing will be to consult a professional. Once we make sure that they are in good condition and apply different decorative finishes, they will also have to be maintained so that they do not deteriorate and for this there are different treatments that can help us.

Lee Meehan Roofing is where you will find top experts with a lot of experienced in the field. We have years of experience on this field and will be very happy to support your decision. Contact us now if you want to know more about our services and how we can help you achieve your goals.

Causes of wood deterioration

Woods are usually affected by different factors. If the wood is exposed to the elements, inclement weather has a direct influence on it. Ultraviolet and infrared radiation, rain water and air humidity, deteriorate its surface over time, causing cracks and deforming the material, impacting its resistance. When found indoors, the most common cause of degradation is from an attack by living organisms. Some of these organisms can be fungi or insects, among others, also affecting the resistance of the material. Of course, exposure to heat sources such as fire also affects wood.

Would you like to build a wooden pergola in your outdoor space? Do not miss this step by step to do it yourself.

Wood types

There are solid woods and laminated woods.

The solid wood beams are formed from the cut of a single tree, that is to say that it is a complete piece that has no gluing. Aesthetically, they offer great beauty, since many can show knots, cracks, streaks, etc. But the main problem that arises is that it is more difficult to measure its resistance. Perhaps one piece can be stronger than another, even though they have been cut from the same tree. The laminated wood beams are formed from glued boards and based on the number of boards that give the thickness of the beam, the resistance they have is calculated. They can be made in different lengths and generally the most commonly used species is the Elliotis Pine.

How to clean the wooden beams?

Before starting any restoration or applying maintenance, it will be necessary to free the wood of any type of dirt.

First, all existing dust should be removed. This procedure can be carried out with the help of a rag, a feather duster and / or a vacuum cleaner.

Then, if there are traces of paint or varnishes, they should be removed with a sander or remover. Once this step is completed, it will be necessary to re-remove any dust and debris that has been regenerated. You have to try to avoid using water for cleaning, so it does not get wet.

Now yes, once the entire surface is cleaned, it is time to check the condition of the beams.

Restoration

If the wood was affected by water, it would be best to review its condition with a professional and see if it can be left to dry and reuse again. In addition, water access must be blocked so that the same problem does not occur again.

If the problem is caused by organisms such as the drill bug, there are different types of treatment and one of the best known is applying injections of a special insecticide into the holes that the pest has left. If the infection is due to termites, it will be necessary to go to a specialist, since the fumigation should not only be applied to the affected surface but also to the surrounding areas. Finally, if the wood is cracked, it is also advisable to review it by an expert and define whether a repair is necessary or not, since some cracks are harmless. If the problem presented does not allow any type of restoration, then it will be necessary to change the beam.

What finishes can be used for the wooden beams?

One option is to wax them. With this finish, the holes that the wood may have can be sealed and visually improve some imperfections. There are also varnishes that give that sealing effect, being possible to choose different shades, without forgetting the prior sanding before application.

Painting is another alternative. Different colors can be used, according to the visual effect you want to achieve. If the intention is that the beams go unnoticed, perhaps it will be best to paint them white. If you want to highlight them, you will have to choose a complementary color.

Wood is a noble material that allows us to use it for a wide variety of projects. A long time ago, wooden beams were not only used in the construction of houses, but they were also used to make structures for bridges, shoring of mining tunnels, etc. Today, they are used to a greater extent for the support of ceilings, allowing a wide variety of shapes, providing unparalleled beauty and great resistance, provided they are maintained periodically.

At Lee Meehan Roofing, we want to recommend top material that will help you a lot in fulfilling the task previously mentioned, that of protecting you and your family. Contact us today for more information about our services, we are the best addition to your renovation process.

When to use a LED reflector?

A LED reflector is ideal for illuminating large spaces, sculptures, signs and other objects, but also for lighting gardens and workshops when working. To save energy we recommend the latest LED reflector. Here you can learn about what types of LED spotlights are currently on the market and what are their benefits.

Find more information about premium LED products here at Lighting Australia.

The most important thing is the luminosity and the type of use

Before starting the search for the LED floodlight (sometimes called LED halogen), we explained several aspects that will make selection and purchase easier. The most important thing is to know the purpose of the reflector and how it should be efficient, that is, what its luminosity will be.

Today, LED floodlights are available in the 10 to 100 Watt range. Do not forget that they consume between 50 and 80% less electricity than halogens, so the 100W LED floodlight will easily replace 500W halogens. Also, the most expensive models have a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours. The voltage is usually 230V, but there is also a low voltage of 12-24V. For color temperature, we recommend daily white (more than 5,000 Kelvin), which promotes concentration and less tired eyes.

Types of LED reflectors

In addition to light intensity, LED reflectors differ in appearance, which also determines their use. Below are the most common types.

  1. LED halogens

The appearance is very similar to classic halogen reflectors. They are mainly in black and silver colors and in a wide range of performance, for example, for garden lighting, the power of 10 W.

  1. Standing

They have a support to fit into the ground.

  1. Slim

Reflectors that have less depth (take up less space), so they can be easily placed on the facade, under the gutter, …

  1. Laptops

Ideal for activities that change location, for example, when building a house, repairing a car, … They are equipped with a handle and a stable support.

Reflectors with sensor

The types mentioned above can also be supplemented by a PIR sensor / sensor, meaning they automatically turn on in the event of a move and automatically turn off after the set time.

The most modern option is a solar LED reflector, which does not need electric power at all. Ideal solution for places where electricity is not supplied.

Why do LED Lights burn ou?

Protect and extend the life of your LED luminaires avoiding future problems or melts by installing the equipment correctly and in the right place.

Led bulbs or lamps can also go out of business. A poor quality light bulb can get damaged but it is not usually normal, the most common cases for which the LEDs break or melt are in most cases for reasons of bad installations.

Without going into technicalities we will try to see what happens and how to solve these cases, so we can enjoy the long life of LEDs without wasting our money.

Why do the LEDs melt?

It is always possible that a low quality of the luminaires influences the duration of the same, but we are going to focus on more common cases of failure.

Voltage fluctuations or power surges, common in many places where light is consumed, destroy the electronics of these lamps in a short time.

Excessive temperature, having a led lamp “enclosed” in a ceiling light, globe, …, where air circulation is not possible, causes the life of the lamp to be shortened. The LEDs are semiconductors and with working temperatures above 40/45 degrees they begin to degrade.

In the same line we should not install led lamps with other models of light lamps, example of putting in a common point of light, several energy saving light bulbs and at least one LED.

Fluorescent light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, low consumption downlights need to start in order for them to light, this they do with a small “spark”, a small surge.

We can see this very well in the fluorescent tubes that after several very rapid ignitions finally turn on 100% to light properly.

Energy saving light bulbs also produce this effect although less visually than in tubes.

Combining these models with this technology can be a consequence of shortening the useful life of the led.

The poor quality of the cables, the connections, the devices that coincide on the same line, and above all, the lack of grounding.

If the led bulbs stay on for a short time … after turning off the switch, the leads from our installation are almost certainly playing tricks on us.

If to all the above we add somewhat obsolete switches, humidity near the light bulb, household appliances that produce some uncontrolled discharge and few or no earth connections in the installation will cause us to have voltage fluctuations shortening the life of the LED.

Basic recommendations at the time of installation

Try to include in all the lines the “earth connection”, there are a multitude of bulbs, lamps, lights that do not connect to this phase, and this complicates the life of the led.

Install all LED bulbs or all of low consumption, but we must not mix both things in the same light source or line.

If a led lamp has reached its maximum operating temperature after a few hours of use and has not failed in the first days, it will possibly not fail in the following years. Possibly, with the arrival of summer it causes a temperature rise in certain places of more than 30ºC, which may also affect the led.

Do not install Led bulbs in ceiling lights or completely downlights, the lamp will have a hard time cooling and will lose properties in a few days.

If several LED lamps are purchased and all fail, “something happens” in your installation. If some fail, watch what can happen at a specific point and if none has ever failed you, or you have been lucky, or everything has been done perfectly.

Not everywhere you must or can install a LED light, if a modern led lamp has perished quickly, there are more options for lighting.

To finish: It does not matter the brands, nor the prices, if the installation is bad, old, with branches, old cables, bad connections, etc … we will have problems with the LEDs and surely with the other electronic devices in your home. If everything is correct, as it should be, we will have LEDs for many years.

When we can know that the installation suffers some disorder, or that some of the previous points can be met, the lamps with LED SMD technology “Surface Mount Device” or surface mount, allows that even if any of these LEDs is damaged, they have a device They supply them so that others continue to function at full capacity. Therefore, these SMD models are usually more effective than the so-called “Chip on board” COBs, which although they are of better quality, suffer much more from these deficiencies.

At Lighting Australia we offer you all the information you need for successful LED installation and use.

How did the modern needle came into existence?

The sharp tips of hypodermic needles have sparked fear and panic attacks since they were invented in the 19th century. Despite being very useful —either with the extraction of liquids or to inject substances into our body— their appearance is threatening for many of us.

Trypanophobia (injection phobia) makes many people have a really hard time getting a blood test or getting a vaccine. They are medical tools that have become indispensable for doctors, nurses and dentists, and some patients, like diabetics, even have to learn how to use them for their own treatments.

If the needles now scare you, imagine how they put vaccines in the 19th century, the time these drawing dates from. But how were blood transfusions done before their invention, or how were drugs “injected”?

To deposit a medication on a patient’s skin, an incision was made and a paste or liquid was placed. Other times, fluids are inserted or removed through the mouth, rectum, or vagina with medical tubes.

Find the best equipment for needle-free injections here at Inject Needle Free.

How technology can help children lose their fear of going to the doctor

Syringes were used for that, although they were not like they are today. says that in the past bird bones were used to attach them to bladders of small animals to make them. Needles, the perfect complement to syringes, would come much later ….

Taking this concept of “hollow tubes”, and having observed how snakes could inject venom with their hollow fangs, the practice of administering ointments and anointing through simple piston syringes was originally described by 1st century Roman scholar Aulus Cornelius. Celsus and by the famous Greek surgeon Galen.

It is not known for sure whether Egyptian ophthalmologist Ammar ibn Ali al-Mawsili relied on those writings, but 800 years later he used a hollow glass tube and suction to remove cataracts from his patients’ eyes, a technique that was copied until the 13th century to extract blood, fluids and poison.

Later, in the 1650s, the French mathematician Blaise Pascal invented the first modern syringe.

Blaise Pascal invented the precursor for the syringe used in modern medicine.

Six years later, the English architect Christopher Wren, whose masterpiece was St Paul’s Cathedral in London, was inspired by Pascal’s idea to do the first intravenous experiment.

The needles didn’t exist yet … so he used the resources at hand. Combining hollow goose feathers, pig bladders, and enough opium to knock down an elephant, Wren injected stray dogs with wine and ale.

He used the feathers as a tube, beveled at one end, and tied the bladder at the opposite end, where he deposited the substances.

Types of injections

  • Intravenously through the skin into a vein
  • Intramuscularly penetrating muscle tissue
  • Intradermal only on the skin
  • Subcutaneously into the fatty tissue, just under the skin.

The arrival of the needle

So, it was not until 200 years later that the injections were experimented with again. It was then that Irish doctor Francis Rynd entered the scene. It was the year 1845.

The needles of before were not like those of today. This was the one invented by the Irish physicist Dr. Francis Rynd around 1845.

And here Rynd’s syringe in color. Rynd made the first hollow steel needle. He used it to inject medicine subcutaneously. At least, that’s what he wrote in the Dublin Medical Press.

In 1853, the French physicist Charles Pravaz used the system to stop bleeding in a sheep by administering a coagulant with what would be the first hypodermic needle.

Two years later, Scottish surgeon Alexander Wood put the needle into a syringe to inject morphine into a human. He investigated this topic with the idea of relieving his wife of the pain of neuralgia, a disease that causes acute pain in the face.

A technological challenge

Intravenous injections became standard practice for administering painkillers, insulin, vaccines, and for blood transfusions.

Needles had become a fundamental element of medicine. They may seem very thin and a breakthrough, but from our (current) perspective they look dreadfully large.

They certainly seemed to cause quite a bit of damage. Specialists say that one of the main issues in the development of needles was technological advancement, which allowed them to be sharpened more and more, until they were as thick as a human hair.

Making needles thinner and less painful was a technological challenge that was accomplished throughout the century that continued to refine what already existed.

From the beginning, they were made of steel and made to be as thin as possible, but at the same time they had to be hollow: one long, thin tube with one pointed tip and the other, designed to fit the syringe

Some needles, such as those used in acupuncture, are as fine as a human hair. Few imagined that its use would be so widespread. Around 1946, Chance Brothers and Company glassware in Birmingham, UK began mass-producing the first glass syringe with interchangeable parts. There were contagion problems, despite being sterilized after each use, and New Zealand pharmacist and inventor Colin Murdoch applied for a patent to create a disposable plastic syringe.

No longer a need for syringes with needles

At first they dismissed his idea but later it would be sold worldwide. Today, we continue to use disposable syringes, although medicine has evolved so much that even injections without needles can be given through patches and other novel systems.

Having needles in home is undesirable. All because of the stigma associated with using the needle, concerns including an innate aversion to needles, the inconvenience of disposing of needles, and safety in needle use, which becomes especially worrisome when children live. In the home.

This instrument is important for patients who switch to biological medications and want to successfully administer their therapy. Current modes of injection administration cause anxiety, as it requires the needle to be in the patient for 10-20 seconds to deliver the full dose. Therefore, as a consequence, treatment adherence rates for biological products are less than optimal and are believed to be in the range of 40% to 70% depending on the indication.

Some patients may even refuse therapy if it requires needle self-injection.

The goal is to replace all needles and syringes with a secure, fast and connected device and to become the standard for modern medicine delivery. The device is easy to use and its digital health features allow the patient to comprehensively manage their chronic condition interactively.

This technology is highly accurate, has drug concentration and agnostic viscosity, and is also compatible with Pharma manufacturing processes.

Self-managed chronic diseases in the home with biologic-based therapies place the burden of drug administration on the patient and can lead to disease management anxiety and less than optimal outcomes. Patient stress is exacerbated by the use of needle-based medication delivery devices to administer these medications.

  1. Casual style

We begin with the “casual”, a style of dress to spare known and popularized among men, which consists of dressing informally but adequately. What do we mean by this? Well, you should have basic clothes in your wardrobe that can serve you both to go to work and to go out with friends for example. Garments that combined, provide a current style but without falling into formalities.

For example, betting on chinos, in shades like camel, and a sweater or shirt, will be the key to a fall winter casual. In summer you can dress the same although with shorts or also short-sleeved shirts. Sports shoes also combine very well with this type of style.

Do you want to dress well? Follow David Beckham on social networks and copy everything, absolutely everything, what he wears. A true icon of elegance, knowing how to be and the sublimation of casual style.

  1. Denim style

Denim is a style of clothing that is very popular, although it consists of combining Texan clothing, such as jeans, shirts or jackets and at the same time introducing other garments that we can also include in that style.

In this way, together with the fact that you are the one who combines a Texan style, it will always be good for you to introduce garments of the sweater style, printed shirts and of course, to use basic t-shirts such as the white ones that are in fact, another reference within fashion style “denim”.

  1. “Athleisure” style

The “athleisure” style is perhaps one of the most recent styles of dress although we cannot say that it is new. Perhaps it has become a trend that has been very important in recent months, but the truth is that wearing sportswear combined with other garments that are not, is something that many men have been doing for years.

In this way, you can bet on jogger pants, combined with sweatshirts, and at the same time, dress shirts, or sweatshirts with jeans or chinos. It is undoubtedly an informal style although it provides a fresher “look” when dressing with comfortable clothes.

  1. Formal style

Of the styles of dress that we have mentioned so far, all of them identify quite a bit with the fact of dressing in an informal way, but we also have to highlight, of course, the formal style of dress that is essential on certain occasions.

Thus, you should always have a suit or several in the wardrobe, so you can dress formally when you have an appointment, a work meeting, an event or any occasion that requires formality.

There are men who, due to their work, must wear suits daily. Thus, they must master the formal style and know what suits such as black, navy blue or gray. In addition, we can add combinations such as blazers with jeans and a shirt. Also a simple dark colored sweater with dress pants or chinos. Both can be considered formal “looks”.

  1. Boho style

Another of the styles of clothing for men that we want to refer to is the “boho” style that seems to have become fashionable for some time now, and although it prevails among women, men have also noticed it.

This style, of which we find references in celebrities such as Johnny Depp, makes “hippie” fashion its base of clothing although updated to the present, using “slim” jeans, dark shirts with vests, or striped shirts, and of course wearing accessories such as felt hats, scarves, necklaces and bracelets.

  1. Hipster style

Along with the “boho” style, the “hipster” style also prevails among the 2018 dress styles, which also seems to have penetrated deep into many men, although it must be borne in mind that it is not only characterized by a series of specific garments but also which is also “hipster” wearing a certain type of beard and even hairstyle.

  1. Rock style

A style that as its name indicates will consist of the use of garments that are associated with rock culture and although it is nothing new, the truth is that it has also been updated to this day.

In this way, if you want to be able to dress in a 2018 rocker style, you can not miss a good leather jacket, and a well-fitting denim, but you must also introduce other garments such as printed shirts, as well as the use of accessories such as felt hats and scarves as well as footwear that not only have to be boots, they can perfectly be somewhat more stylish shoes.

  1. Sport style

We have previously mentioned the “athleisure” style, as one of the styles of clothing that are currently trending, but we cannot forget the sports style as the style that corresponds to wearing sportswear is known.

A style that like all has evolved and is now characterized by the use of breathable materials and garments that also look at the latest color and print trends to present the latest in sweatshirts, sportswear, tracksuits, and clothing with the one that you generally wear when you go to the gym, play sports or simply want to be comfortable.

DIY Aquarium: Building an aquarium is it hard ?

Building an aquarium is not an easy task. Neither it’s an impossible task. You just have to have the same patience that you should have to have in building an aquarium.

Cost must also be considered. In many cases it is cheaper to buy the armed aquarium than to manufacture it yourself. In particular because we avoid complications and if an aquarium is purchased from a responsible store, it must have a guarantee for failures or losses.

Once you have budgets in hand, you can make your decisions, working without haste you will be able to enjoy your work and you will not suffer the consequences of a badly armed aquarium.

Remember that Guppy’s Aquarium Products is the top online shop where you can buy anything you need for your aquarium from the comfort of your house and have the most remarkable and eye-catching fish tanks.

Building you own aquarium

We give you here the instructions to make one 70 x 40 x 35 cm, but the general instructions are valid for any size.

To build larger aquariums, you must take into account that every 10 cm. height you must increase the thickness of the glass by 1 mm (one millimeter). You should also consider this increase in thickness when aquariums are longer than 90 cm. The pressure of the water produces a curvature of the glass and an additional tension on the center of the glass. If it is not of the proper thickness, it can fracture only by a sudden change in temperature, a slight blow, a vibration or any other reason.

Use the following guide to select the glasses to use:

Height, Thickness, Length:

  • 35 cm, 4.2 mm, up to 80 cm
  • 40 cm, 5 mm, up to 90 cm
  • 45 cm, 6 mm, up to 100 cm

  • 70 cm, 10 mm, up to 120 cm
  • 80 to 100 cm, 12 mm, up to 180 cm
  • 130 cm, 12 mm, up to 120 cm
  • 150 cm, 19 mm, 120 to 300 cm

The RTV silicone glue to be used must be the best quality that can be obtained. The pressure that the water exerts on the bottom causes the glue to be in permanent tension. A good silicone glue will last for many years.

First step: Arrange the glasses.

Second step: Have a layer of the appropriate size and that supports the weight of the glass. Place the layer firmly against a wall (which will serve as a guide for the squad and support for the first stage of assembly). Place the layer against the well-established wall. Cut the glue applicator nozzle. Apply the glue with the cut down and in the direction indicated by the arrow.

Third step: apply the silicone adhesive. It is convenient to apply the glue to all the glasses simultaneously in manageable aquariums. When building aquariums with a very high height or very long glasses, which must be managed by more than one person, it is preferable to apply silicone glass by glass, starting with the bottom or floor of the aquarium.

Fourth step: assembly. The location of the glasses in their final position is not a science but requires thoroughness and patience. Silicone is a material that is difficult to clean, therefore you should always have clean hands (you should always have rags for cleaning hands and glass). On the layer and attached to the wall with adhesive tape, you can put a plastic film (polyethylene) to prevent the excess glue from ending up causing divorce by dirtying the walls with a material that cannot be covered with paint of any kind. Place the back glass gently but firmly. Leave it leaning against the wall. With the rear glass supported, place the second glass and adjust the rear one on it. Place the other side taking care that when adjusting it, the rear glass does not slip. The next step will be to place the front glass and adjust gently but firmly.

Last step: sealing

For the final sealing, you can allow a few hours for the material to “make skin” (that is, the setting has started). Using the applicator with the cut down and running in the opposite direction to that of gluing, apply a layer of glue from the center to the angles, as shown in the following illustration.

Once the sealing process is done you can go on and fill the aquarium, first with a 5 cm layer to check if there are any cracks. Pour that amount of water and wait half an hour, if there is nothing unusual, you can already fill it up to 1/3 of its capacity. Allow another half hour to pass, and if there is no leak you can already fill it completely, which is 3 cm below the top edge. Fill the tank, also fill the filter reserve and plug it in to check that it works.

Water heater: install a heater so that the fish can always be at a comfortable temperature, ideally the water is between 21-25 degrees. Attach a thermometer to frequently check the temperature and regulate the heater when necessary.

Anti-chlorine: it is recommended to also add some anti-chlorine agent to keep the fish safe, since the tap water that you usually use to fill the aquarium has chlorine.

Fish: It is finally time to put the fish in their new home. Consult well the particularities and conditions that each species requires to be able to choose the most suitable ones, that can live the best possible according to what you offer them. Take into account the size that each one can reach and do not buy species that you will not be able to deal with when they grow up. Do not buy more than 4 fish at a time, if you want more, wait two weeks and buy at most in groups of 4 so that they adapt little by little.

You can find all these products you need for an aquarium here at Guppy’s Aquarium Products, you can also tell us if you need more information about this process. Contact us!

5 Types of off-road trailers you should know

Trailers are very commonly used, both by companies and individuals. For transport companies it is very useful, since it allows to have an extra space for cargo. According to its nature and functionalities we can clearly distinguish between 5 types of off-road trailer.

First of all, what do we mean by off-road trailer? Non-motorized cargo vehicle consisting of a minimum of chassis, wheels, loading surface and, depending on its weight and dimensions, its own brakes.

Clear and simple definition to easily understand what we mean. Off-road trailers provide invaluable flexibility for a mobility or transportation company. They offer a choice of whether or not more cargo space is needed.

Each type of off-road trailer has different characteristics. Depending on the use that will be given and the needs of the company, one type or another will be necessary.

Here at Great Western Trailers you will find everything you need to carry merchandise to a specific destination.

  1. Hitch trailer

Also called a full trailer. It is the most common for passenger cars. Therefore, it is the one that is usually used in the private sector and in commercial fleets. It consists of a minimum of two axes and at least one steering axis. Transmits to the vehicle being towed a load of less than 100 kg. The hitch ball can be:

  • Fixed: it is the simplest and cheapest, normally used by individuals.
  • Detachable: it is more sophisticated, since it allows to hide the hook when it is not going to be used.
  • Monoblock: It is the most used by industrial and off-road vehicles due to its greater consistency.
  1. Trailer with central axle

The center axle trailer is characterised by having axles located near the center of gravity of the motor vehicle. Your hitching device cannot move vertically with respect to the trailer.

  1. Semitrailer

It is what we commonly understand by trailer. In this case the trailer does not have a front axle. It is directly coupled on the traction vehicle, transmitting part of its load.

  1. Farm trailer

It is the type of trailer with a more specific utility. As its name suggests, it is the one that is attached to the machinery for agricultural work. Over the years it has become an indispensable element in any field activity.

  1. Caravan

To finish we talk about a type of trailer very different from the rest: the caravan. Its use is exclusively between individuals, since it constitutes a mobile home by itself. The interior of a caravan usually has everything you need to be able to live in it: bedroom, kitchen, bathroom.

Now you know the 5 types of trailer. None is in itself better than the others. Depending on your needs or preferences, you can purchase one or the other. Take advantage of the extra load that the trailer can offer you.

6 Tips for Knowing How to Drive a Trailer

If you have just incorporated a hitch ball into your car to transport something on time or because you are going to need it for your multi-day vacation, here we teach you how to drive with a trailer, ten practical tips.

In many occasions it is very useful to use trailers to transport more luggage on our trips. Although it may be somewhat more difficult when driving with this trailer behind, it will only take a period of adaptation when maneuvering, as well as following the following 10 practical tips.

  1. Maximum speed with off-road trailer

One of the worst situations for driving with trailers is when there is side or crosswind. To avoid unnecessary scares during your trip, it is advisable to properly distribute the weight in the trailer, as well as reduce speed or even wait for the wind to die down. As for speed, the speed limits for cars with a trailer are:

  • On motorways and expressways, cars with trailers up to 750kg, limit of 90 km / h; cars with a trailer of more than 750 kg, limit of 80 km / h.
  • On conventional roads marked as car lanes and on other conventional roads, as long as the latter have a paved shoulder 1.50 meters or more in width or more than one lane for some of the traffic directions: 80 km / h.
  • In the rest of the roads out of town: 70 km / h.
  • In the urban environment, follow the signs of 50 or 30 km / h. And finally, in case of driving on roads, the maximum speed will be 25 km / h.
  1. Check the tire pressure

In the same way that you must adapt the pressure of the wheels to drive under load, you must also adapt it to transport a trailer before starting your journey.

  1. Increase the safety distance for braking

Now more than ever it is important that during your trip you respect, and even lengthen, the safety distance with the vehicle in front, because in case of having to perform an emergency brakes you will need more meters than usual to stop the vehicle.

  1. Climbing complicated slopes

Choose a short speed that increases revs and push torque to start the climb. In this way you can overcome any costs with the engine ready.

  1. Check the weight that your car can tow

In the technical sheet of your vehicle you can check the maximum weight, maximum load and maximum trailer load data.

  1. Load weight and gravity point

As much as possible, try to lighten the weight you carry in the trunk of the car as much as possible so that the rear does not drop down. In the trailer, try to keep the center of gravity just in front of the trailer wheels and as low as possible. With about 10 or 20 centimeters it is enough for the trailer to be transported safely in curves and straight lines. If the center of gravity is too far ahead, the trailer will not turn properly.

Bear in mind that here at Great Western Trailers you will find everything you need to carry merchandise to a specific destination.

Safety rails to prevent hazards at work

The risks in the practice of different maintenance works at heights and outdoors, combine several potential risks to happen accidents that put at risk the integrity and life of the worker in maintenance work. Safety rails are a safety measure that prevents all risk of accidents at heights.

Developing any activity from two meters high is considered as a potential risk, and the implementation of a safety system that safeguards life and does not expose it to an unnecessary and clearly foreseeable risk is required. One of these measures is the adoption of safety rails, rather than the fulfillment of a standard, it is the anticipation of a possible accident.

The implementation of the system of safety rails is due to supplying the evident need to prevent accidents and vacuum falls of workers who carry out different tasks such as cleaning, maintenance, system verification, repairs and tasks that require working directly in high areas that involve risks.

Remember that you need safety equipment for all works carried out in your ceiling. Top suppliers such as Gold Coast Edge Protection have developed diverse types of security systems looking for the perfect way to provide workers with the safety they need.

What are the safety rails that can be implemented?

There are two types of safety rails, horizontal and vertical. They are made up of three fundamental parts, to guarantee their efficiency. A harness system, which at the time holds the worker, an element for connecting the harness to the line, such as a carabiner, and the anchor point to the structure. This is a set of elements that must agree so that the result and the security they provide are efficient and meet all their objectives.

The safety rails are also complementary measures to other collective security systems, for example in their vertical application, inside or outside different types of stairs, such as cat ladders, optimising these security systems. There are several systems that can complement each other.

As an indispensable complement to these security systems, such as lifelines, it must be ensured that workers, whether plant-based or subcontracted, have the proper knowledge and training on their use and handling, since although they are highly reliable systems, their good use will determine much of its efficiency and the guarantee of its operation.

The company that installs these security systems must carefully analyse which is the most efficient means for each case, they are the only ones that have the technical bases, the sufficient knowledge and the appropriate experience to make this type of determination.

Aspects to consider before choosing a rail

Before looking at the types of railings that are available, it is necessary to take into account some aspects. For example, if it will be placed outdoors or indoors. The materials that will be used in its manufacture will not be the same. Those that are intended for outdoors will be more resistant. Also its coating will be different.

You also have to take into account its design, and the materials with which it is made. The aim of the latter is to be in line with the house and the furniture in it. If the railings are for the staircase of a block of flats, a sturdy and well-fitting model will suffice.

On the other hand, when installing railings, it is advisable to take into account who will be the ones who will use the ladder. As we have commented, it is not the same as in the house where it is going to be placed there are small children than older people, for example.

Collective protection: safety railing

The Risk Prevention Law recommends prioritising Collective protections over Individual protections. When the risk of falling from height cannot be eliminated, all interventions must be accompanied by safety systems for working at height.

Permanent collective protection equipment is installed whose purpose is to effectively protect users against the risks of falls from height.

We have a complete range of products, offering numerous solutions and varieties adapted according to the architecture of your building or its technical and aesthetic limitations.

Installing a counterbalanced safety railing on a deck

  • Polyvalence: Installs on all types of roofs and covers. It allows any design and adaptation to the existing surface. Homogeneous distribution of loads to distribute the overall weight. Agility and cleanliness of execution ensured by our team of cables and professional slings.

6 Tips to make your favorite shoes last forever

As they say, nothing is forever, but with certain clothes it seems that we do not know how to accept that this relationship has ended. Confess that, with shoes, that happens to you and learn to take care of them

The footwear universe at this time is wide and varied: from basic sneakers, the crabs that were in fashion in 2013 but who knows, they will never return, the flat flip flops always so comfortable. But hey! Good news, you can extend your shoe relationship a little bit more if you learn to keep them well cared for before there is no going back.

The idea is that you can save them and, attention, also recover the heels, boots and booties that have delighted you this autumn-winter so that in a few months they will be in good condition.

Bear in mind that here at Happy Feet Pedorthics we will help you feel comfortable wearing the right type of shoes according to the activities you do.

  1. Express cleaners now

There are a thousand and one tricks to clean your shoes if suddenly you find a stain like the typical one that you make yourself when you cross your legs and rub yourself with the other heel or those derived from an annoying stomp. You have a thousand options to solve it: the always useful eraser, give them with soap and water and rub with a sponge, use warm milk, alcohol, nail polish remover or turpentine.

  1. Keep them in their place

It is true that it is much more comfortable to have them on hand, but it is important that you keep them in their place, well covered so that they do not pick up dust (which then is always a lie that you are going to put them on tomorrow) and that you pass them a damp cloth to remove the dirt that may have accumulated. Even if you assume, you’re not going to be using them in a while, clean them thoroughly with shoe polish, horse fat, or whatever is right for you. Of course, please, that keeping them in their place as a daily task does not mean that you will not hear from them again until next summer … Take advantage of your resources and if you really have not put them on all season, maybe you should assume this relationship is over.

  1. Change the entire

When you invest in a good pair of shoes, the goal is to make them last, and in order for them to stay like new, it’s important that you not be stingy with things as simple and inexpensive as changing the heels or the sole once you go to save them until next season. It will not cost you more than 15 dollars – depending on whether you put rubber or wooden soles – and you will leave them looking like new. Take advantage of the sheet metal and paint to put some new templates and they will continue to be just as comfortable when you take them out of their box.

  1. Have a marker at hand

Yes, the old trick always works especially with patent and even leather shoes. Take out your marker and hide the scratch you just discovered on its side in an instant. Of course, if they are leather and more than a chafing you can almost put the tip of your finger in the hole, go to the shoemaker to have it repaired or try a dye bath.

  1. DANGER! They are harming you

You love them and you enjoy when people remind you how beautiful your new heels are. Stop saying they are ‘super comfortable’ and assume you are getting a blister the size of a free-range egg yolk.

If you are getting a wound, you should immediately treat it with a disinfectant and a plaster. If you last a long time with them the chafing will stain the interior and you will end up deforming the shoe by your aching gait. The key is to act fast. Of course, take note of this advice that will be worth more than an uncomfortable moment and an excessive expense in band-aids: it is almost always better to put the adhesive strip on the shoe instead of the foot. You will prevent that part from rubbing against you and that the remedy ends up being a mess on your heel.

  1. Put a shoemaker in your life

Well, maybe not going out to dinner with him, but establishing a relationship with your shoemaker can be the key for a true professional to help you take care of your favorite shoes. Give her a conversation, learn her name, stop by every now and then to buy cleaning supplies at her store, and tip her once in a while. This can be the true start of a great friendship.

We all know the popular saying “what you don’t take care of, ends up spoiling”. When we hear or read this saying, we usually relate it to sentimental or friendship situations but the reality is that all obstacles are applied frequently… including your shoes!

We know that a good shoe, boot, not only dresses our cake, but also completes a whole look. Differentiating, for example, between western or chelsea style, is fine, but if you don’t take care of your shoes from day one, knowledge about fashion will be of little use to you.

It is true that it is not necessary that we dedicate as much care as with our clothes, but if we want a perfect look we must pay attention to them so that they always look like they have just been bought.

Starting with quality footwear, their care becomes a fundamental routine so that we can enjoy them and last us for a long time.

Here at Happy Feet Pedorthics we can help you find the best option for you, we’ll assist you in the selection of shoes for your daily routine. Pain, injury, swelling … all this and more can directly affect the toes. Let’s look at some other problems that you may experience.

All You Need to Know About Remedial Sport Massages

Sport massage is a type of massage that prepares the tissues for sports effort and prevention and recovery of injuries both in training and in competition. For this reason, massage is perhaps, within the physiotherapeutic techniques, the most appreciated by the athlete.

There really is no special sport massage, as there is, for example, no geriatric massage. The difference lies in the moment of the sports activity in which it is applied and in the therapeutic objectives that we pursue.

The general objectives of sport massage are, therefore, to prepare the tissues for sporting effort, keeping them in an optimal state, prevention of injuries both in training and in competition and recovery of injuries that arise and the physical form of the athlete.

Here at Fresh Treatments we offer specialised sport massages, relieving pressure and stress accumulated in muscles and more. Contact us now if you are interested in this service.

What is sport massage?

Massage is perhaps, within the physiotherapeutic techniques, the most appreciated by the athlete.

There really is no special sport massage, as there is, for example, no geriatric massage. The difference lies in the moment of the sports activity in which it is applied and in the therapeutic objectives that we pursue.

The general objectives will be:

  • Preparing the fabrics for sports effort, keeping them in an optimal state.
  • Preventing of injuries both in training and in competition.
  • Recovering of the injuries that appear and of the physical form of the athlete.

Likewise, micro-breaks can occur at the microscopic level within the muscle fiber tissue, which give rise to processes of inflammation, regeneration and tissue remodeling and that will last longer or shorter depending on their severity.

Sport massage types

There are several types of sport massage according to the objectives pursued. Sports massage can be classified into:

Preparatory / pre-competition massage

Applied preferably (although it varies according to the authors) between 6 and 24 hours before the competition, training or activity, to optimise the elastic and contractile capacities of the tissues. It is an invigorating massage.

Goals:

  • Increased blood circulation and therefore energy enrichment.
  • Increasing in the internal temperature of the muscle and the viscoelastic properties of the muscle and connective tissue, which forms fascia, fascia, tendons… Guaranteeing an adequate contractile response and tension.
  • Elimination of localized adhesions and myalgias

Recovery massage

It is usually applied between 30 minutes and 6 hours after finishing the activity. Previously, the athlete must perform active cooling that includes slowing down, stretching, hydration, and respiratory and cardiac normalization.

Goals:

  • Metabolic waste drainage
  • Reduction of muscle hypertone and possible spasms
  • Increased blood supply

In this phase manual lymphatic drainage is highly indicated and it is necessary to avoid very intense massage therapy techniques that may exacerbate inflammatory pain, increasing recovery time. Rubbing techniques, rhythmic compressions, segmental vibrations can be applied.

It also represents a kind of psychological “reward” for the athlete for the effort made.

Maintenance massage

It must be periodic. It is used as a means of diagnosis and treatment, forming another part of the athlete’s preparation program.

Goals:

  • Eliminating muscle fatigue
  • Maintaining the natural elasticity of muscle, tendon, facial, ligament tissue
  • Detecting and elimination of myalgia areas

Slower and more extensive maneuvers will be carried out, such as superficial and deep slides, kneading, friction… and also any other Manual Therapy technique that helps achieve the above objectives based on the findings obtained during palpation and the rest of the evaluation. such as: trigger point treatment, myofascial induction, connective tissue massage, etc.

Both the objectives and obviously the massage will vary depending on the sport practiced, depending on whether it is flexibility, strength, depth or speed, since the physiological and biochemical processes that take place in the body will be different. It will be necessary to modulate the rhythm, speed and depth. of the massage depending on what we want to achieve.

The importance of sports massage

Sport implies improvement and, as such, a physical demand. Finding the limits of our capacity causes wear and tear that can affect our performance and our health. For this reason, massage must be a fundamental element in our activity.

With sport massages we encourage fatigue to be reduced quickly, prevent injuries and, if these occur, we accelerate recovery. It is a means to help the athlete reach an optimal level, taking care of it at the same time. The need for sports massage should be understood as part of the training of the person who sports daily or very frequently, since the importance of getting ahead of the pain must be clear because prevention is always much better than cure.

We understand as sport massage the physical mechanism that is executed, normally with manual technique, aiming at improving the performance and physical condition of any person who performs sports, although it can also be applied, with the same objective, in people who do not practice it.

Sport massage itself is a set of manual maneuvers aimed at preparing the athlete’s tissues for competition, pre-competition massage, and recovering them after sports activity, post-competition massage, or to heal damaged tissues, rehabilitation massage. .

Sport massage differs from therapeutic massage in that it is usually more intense and deeper. Generally based on elements of classical Swedish massage, sports massage incorporates a combination of compression, friction, stretching, toning techniques and advanced Shiatsu and pressure techniques.

Sports massage has different purposes:

  • Maintenance sports massage, performing a regular scheduled massage focused on the muscles used in a certain sport and that are more likely to cause problems to help the athlete maintain or improve movement and muscle flexibility.
  • Pre-competition sports massage, based on the needs of the athlete and the sport, and can be relaxing or stimulating, is used as a warm-up before the competition, aiming at increasing circulation and reducing muscular and mental tension before the test.
  • Post-competition sports massage, aims to reduce muscle spasms and the metabolic increase that comes with rigorous exercise. This type of sports massage helps the athlete in the process of recovering the effort made to return to training or the new competition, reducing the risk of injury.
  • Rehabilitation sports massage, although they try to prevent injuries, they usually suffer overloads, cramps, contractures or breaks that produce pain and prevent them from continuing to train or compete. With this sports massage the healing process is accelerated, reducing pain and new solutions are provided during the rehabilitation process.

The real benefits of drinking alkaline water regularly

Consuming alkaline water has many health benefits, it helps to eliminate toxins from the body, preventing some diseases such as gastritis

Surely more than once you have heard about the healthy properties of alkaline water and its many benefits. Despite not being scientifically proven, there is a lot of information about it, which maintains that it can help delay the aging process, regulate the body’s pH level and prevent diseases such as bronchial asthma, dermatitis, neuralgia, among others. We will tell you what alkaline water is and what its benefits are.

Alkaline water: When talking about this type of water, reference is made to its pH level (hydrogen potential), which is a number that measures how acidic or alkaline a substance is on a scale of 0 to 14, 7 being neutral point and more than 7 is already alkaline. It helps to eliminate acids from the body as well as being a natural antioxidant.

Here at Dr. Willard you will find the best quality alkaline water to get rid of toxins and keep your body healthy and working at full potential, feeling more energetic and completing your daily routine successfully feeling great and, of course, staying hydrated.

Currently there are ways to increase the alkaline properties of water through the use of special filters, accessories for faucets and additives that raise pH levels by making tap water from neutral to alkaline pH.

Scientists point out that alkaline water has a powerful antioxidant effect and delays aging.

Don’t forget to visit our catalogue if you want to learn more about our products, visit Dr. Willard and take a look at our alkaline water.

How to get alkaline water

If you want to consume alkaline water in your home and have it available all day, Dr. Willard is the right option for you.

Alkaline water can be obtained in different ways. One of them is to buy it packaged in self-service or health food stores. Although it can also be obtained through water purifiers, such as those designed by many renowned brands, whose filter system retains sediments and bacteria, providing water with a high degree of minerals such as Sodium, Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium.

By installing an filter for alkalization in the tank, you get that much purer and healthier resource, quickly, 24 hours, since you only need to open the tap. It retains 99% of bacteria, improving the quality and taste of water, as it eliminates the taste of chlorine.

Another way to get it is at home. One option is to alkalinize the water by boiling it for a period of 5 minutes, in this way it will increase its pH to an ideal 8.4 to alkalinize our body.

It can also be obtained by adding half a tablespoon of baking soda to a glass of water. The pH will rise to 7.9 is the degree required to make it alkaline. In both options, it is important to use distilled water because tap water or bottled water may have other additives.

Benefits of drinking alkaline water regularly

Alkaline water is rich in minerals such as calcium, sodium, magnesium and potassium, its consumption helps to keep the body free of toxins.

There is diverse information regarding how or in what way it favors the consumption of alkaline water, for example: it helps to eliminate toxins from the body, preventing gastrointestinal diseases, constipation, back pain, high cholesterol, neuralgia, among others. It helps good digestion, neutralizes gastric acidity, to name a few benefits. It also improves circulation and increases the supply of oxygen throughout the body.

Another advantage found in a lot of literature is that it has properties that help prevent premature aging, because by eliminating toxins from the body, it promotes oxygenation of the cells, regenerating them, thus keeping the skin hydrated and with elasticity.

Almost all diets recommend detoxifying the body, hence the importance of drinking plenty of water during the day, according to the age and sex of people, they recommend consuming an average of 8 glasses of water a day, in addition to having a healthy diet and balanced rich in fruits and vegetables.

Alkaline water naturally neutralizes acids in the body and significantly aids in weight loss because fat storage is reduced. A body that has a healthy alkalinity level loses weight more easily than a body with a high level of acidity, all this added to a properly balanced diet.

Also keeping the body hydrated with alkaline water improves the immune system as it neutralizes free radicals and helps cleanse the body of toxins. Therefore, the benefits of alkaline water are vital for long-term health.

In addition to the many benefits that we have already discussed, drinking alkaline water also represents a significant saving in money. If you buy a Water Purifier with a filter for alkalization, the purchase of bottled water is reduced, and you help the environment by avoiding contamination with plastic containers. In that sense, it is more economical to invest in an alkaline water purifier and, in this way, you will have immediate access to the consumption of healthy water.

Drawbacks of drinking house-made alkaline water

Without a doubt, it is one more alternative to drink this improved water, although it would not always have such a natural flavor. In order to add the components such as sodium, magnesium or potassium that makes the water improve its quality and tend towards alkalinity, you would need the first water, but also Himalayan salt and lemon.

Advantage, obviously the price, but not the taste. Having to calculate the quantities and the fact that the final liquid changes from being tasteless to having a characteristic flavor may make the little ones, especially not want to try it, in addition to having little antioxidant capacity.

Hence, although an alternative, it may not be the most comfortable for families since they would have to be continually preparing jars with the exact recipes to achieve the objective.

It is not easy, in the rhythm of life that society leads today, in many cases improve sports or eating routines… although you have to make an effort to do so.

However, starting the change with water, a liquid that everyone ingests, in addition to quantity, may be the key to greatly improving cellular, body and organ health.

Preventing ailments is the key to improving the quality of future life, but for this you have to invest from youth and even childhood. Although it seems obvious, several generations are beginning to see how ailments that were hardly popular before have become common in family medicine practices.

Keep in mind that here at Dr. Willard you will find a selection of excellent products made from entirely natural components that offer a range of real benefits for your body.

Interior Design and Furniture Trends

Sometimes making your home look like a Pinterest image is harder than it sounds. Designing an interior will be easier when you understand what elements are important, and what are the small details that will make the difference. According to experts in  interior design what are the secrets to transform a space, and it all starts with this key, “The most important thing about interior design is always to focus on who the person who is going to inhabit it is, what that person wants , what is your day to day, what does that person like.”

Davis Furniture is an excellent choice in the current market when looking for quality timbers for your house or building.

  1. Hold on curves and waves are back

The design, before fashion has, recovers the curve to dress our rooms. Faced with minimalism and its glorious straight line, this trend brings back rounded and sinuous shapes, showing its ability to give life and a sense of movement and depth to interiors, with a ‘deco’ look, yes, feminine and sensual. We are facing a current that is not new, with many architects who have been incorporating it into their projects for years, but now it looks with the illusion (and beauty) of a beginner.

  1. Dear ‘velvet’

Velvet continues with us and in our homes for some time. Of course, it makes it renewed and without fear of integrating into modern environments. Ideal for upholstering sofas, armchairs and chairs, it can also be used as a covering, like on the walls of this bathroom, achieving the effect of an exclusive bonbonniere.

  1. The walls speak (and listen)

Set as architectural spaces where very light cloths are used and, at times, they merge with the ceiling, including the moldings. Likewise, interior designers assure that the spaciousness is in fashion, open staircases and rooms or lounges on the second floor without a wall: In the few closings and divisions between spaces light and translucent elements are used where it communicates a space with the interior, creating psychological barriers of limitation.

  1. Look up at the ceiling

Because these coming years bets on moldings, decorative paint or ornaments, claiming all the attention for the ceiling and its decorative possibilities, which provide character without being excessive. You can paint it in another color and raise its height to infinity or reduce it, so that it makes us feel that we can reach the sky; or go for large XL panels and moldings, to give a touch of classicism to your rooms. Of course, it is not that you repeat the effect in all your stays, only in selected ones.

  1. Yellow also exists

And it has rope for a while. Although Living Coral is the color of the year, as it has been said before, the truth is that not all of us have to see life and home in this orange pink, since it coexists with other tones full of strength and joy, such as yellow. In a proposal from Ikea it’s recommended to takes over large pieces, such as the sofa and the pouf, demonstrating that there are no limits when using colours. In addition, the atmosphere breathes a certain pop air, another ‘hit ‘of this year. If you prefer discretion, keep in mind that mustard tops the ‘yellow’ universe.

  1. The most modern ‘art deco’

Both in furniture and textiles, this style, full of charm and personality, returns to our house in this new decade, although it does so with a more modern touch, thanks to the daring colors and some less used materials in its environments. Without forgetting their hallmarks, they seek to connect with the new generations, showing that he also knows fashions and that to succeed you need more than a pretty face.

  1. ‘Flower Power’

The most lush and lush vegetation dresses the wallpapers and textiles, creating a true interior garden, in which natural plants are not an essential requirement, although their presence is appreciated. A way to catch the beauty of the exterior inside the house, often with a daring tropical air. In addition to green, more intense and deeper colors are incorporated that seek a greater dramatic effect.

  1. Western airs: a style with a ‘deco’ pull

And with possibilities in today’s homes. Japanese philosophy will gain a foothold through the ‘wabi sabi’, which consists of taking advantage of the beauty of the old and imperfect and recycling and taking advantage of elements. And japandi, a style that combines Nordic with Japanese.

  1. Living Coral: the color of the year

Many experts have spoken up and given the color title to this vibrant, soft, nuanced rose, “symbolising our innate need for optimism and happy purpose.” A new look, lively and vital, that will fill your interior and exterior spaces with warmth and energy. There are many proposals to dress your terrace or garden this summer with its energy and warmth.

  1. Cactus, cactus, cactus

If you thought that they were plants of the past and that their reign, and incidentally that of tropical decoration, were a thing of the last decade, you could not be more wrong. The cacti, with the permission of the rest of the succulent plants, are, once again, the kings of the house, as far as species are concerned, as stated in the latest Pinterest report.

With its industrial air and a certain retro tone, this year metal frame furniture will be a ‘deco’ trend in its own right. They take on a special role in neutral spaces, where they contribute ‘charme’ without disturbing the dominant style. Choose your piece among auxiliary modules, bar carts, shelves, coffee tables.

  1. Pet-friendly design

Without a doubt, fashion and design is also for cats and dogs. With the passing of time, there has been an important increase in the impact on the new trends that are changing the way we perceive new furniture designs.

Choosing Davis Furniture as your provider of beautiful pieces of furniture such as our Australian made dining tables with unique colours and textures is a great choice that will surely exceed your expectations.

How to build a sales team from zero ?

How to build a sales team from scratch? The management of the company decides to enter a new market segment and founds a new business unit. Then, hire a Commercial Manager to lead the project. Now, how to assemble a team that achieves the objectives.

Once in office, the Commercial Manager must assemble a sales team from scratch. And, for this, you will have to answer a series of crucial questions.

Hire experienced vendors who know the product, or take people without technical skills who know how to sell? The key lies in finding a balance between the market to serve and the objectives of the team to be formed.

In highly professional segments it is often difficult to prepare an inexperienced salesperson. Consider, for example, a business that sells computer or communications services to corporations specialized in these areas.

In these cases, the seller’s interlocutor will be the Customer’s Systems or Communications Manager. So, it is very difficult to train an inexperienced salesperson in a short time so that you can speak as equals with customers.

Now, it would be very different to sell communications or IT to small and medium-sized companies where the interlocutor is the owner. In this case, the customer knows his business very well but is probably unfamiliar with the technology that the seller proposes.

So, in this situation, it is advisable to form a sales team with people who have very good commercial skills who will be trained in the products or services that the company offers.

CX Training is the main option when it comes to specialists offering tailored solutions that fulfil your customer’s requirements through customer training in Australia.

How to train the new team?

Currently, many potential customers come to the purchase act with extensive knowledge of the product and its substitutes. So traditional selling, based on the seller’s knowledge of the product or service and their ability to communicate their benefits to the customer, is not enough.

Within this framework, more and more companies are opting for a different marketing model: consultative selling.

The greater added value and customization the products and services have, the more advisable is the use of this method and the training of the sellers in it.

Are the functional units of the organization adapted to the commercial operation scheme that you want to put together?

Consider, for example, that a company that markets services to other companies decides, due to strategic and / or technological factors, to also reach the end user. Thus, in the new business unit, mechanisms must be implemented to administer clients on a massive scale.

1) Sales administration

2) Commercial tools (contracts or membership applications, presentations, brochures, etc.)

3) Customer service (systems and personnel for mass inquiries and complaints handling)

4) Billing and collections (systems that allow paying with credit cards and other payment systems without personalized collection)

5) Logistics (programming of new mechanisms that allow mass delivery of the product or service)

Now, is the organization prepared for it?

The negotiation skills of the Commercial Manager will be tested in this instance, where he will have to ensure that the organization accompanies and adapts to the new commercial operation that he intends to establish.

6 tips for meetings with your sales team

When meeting your vendors try to be concise, fun, motivating and offer something of value. This will impact your productivity and results.

Meetings with your salespeople are a critical component of a great sales culture – they are an opportunity to motivate and build the skills of the entire team. At each meeting, if you provide your team with an idea, strategy, or technique that improves their game and motivates with some positive reinforcement or reward, you will see growth in your productivity and sales results.

Here are six keys that guarantee that your next meeting with your sales team will have the results you expect:

  1. Start with something energizing. Start your meetings on time and with something fun. Reward those who are punctual to help eliminate the late factor.

At my company, every week you will find me with my team playing trivia games, telling funny stories, sharing the outstanding sales data in the last days and discussing the strategy for the next ones.

  1. Keep it simple. Always ask yourself: Does this topic need to be addressed at the meeting or can it be discussed outside of it?

Keep things simple with four steps: Make sure the pace of the meeting is fast, create the right atmosphere for fun, add value by helping your team improve their skills and close deals, and share the word, which means that motivate your collaborators to share content regularly.

  1. Have three rules for individual updates. When discussing each member’s updates make sure topics are short and answered on time, so they don’t dominate the meeting or affect the energy of the rest of the team.

To make sure individual updates don’t take many minutes, follow these three rules: Set time limits, create different themes around successes (such as key learnings and future focus), and know when to touch on individual topics outside of the meeting.

  1. Motivate and reward. You must build motivation at every meeting. The sales team has a difficult challenge and needs to feel supported and recognized. This is not about giving great gifts, a simple “thank you” can be key.

Think about dividing the rewards into different categories. You can make them fun, competitive, based on teamwork or even external, recognizing the work of someone outside the team.

  1. Encourage capabilities building activities. Every sales meeting must challenge the salespeople’s skills to keep them at the top of the game. Capacity building activities can focus on prospecting clients, networking, generating leads, meeting clients, presenting solutions, and closing deals. It’s about developing the key salesperson skills, adding value to every meeting.
  2. Have a standard agenda. If you follow your format, you have a standard, consistent, and easy-to-follow agenda that will help you stay focused. With it, you can reduce meeting preparation time considerably. Keeping your schedule in a reference folder will also ensure that you don’t repeat fun and creative activities.

With these six keys, my sales managers have figured out how to reduce meeting preparation time by as much as 10 minutes, while focusing on adding value. This constant and focused investment of your time will guarantee gains in the productivity and results of your team.

With CX Training on your team, offering second to none conflict resolution training in Brisbane, we can help you achieve your goals and build a cohesive team to maximise your efficiency in the workplace.

Types of Property Transfers and their Requirements

This quick guide to the types of real estate transfers will be useful for those who wish to transfer their properties or benefit economically through any of these procedures. Keep in mind that here at Conveyancing in Melbourne you will find all the relevant information related to this legal process.

A transfer of ownership is a process in which a person grants the use rights and obligations of a property to a third party. This procedure, also known as real estate transfer, is an option for those people who want to transfer their assets while living, who have a mortgage that they cannot continue paying, or for those who seek to diversify their investments in areas other than real estate.

There are different ways to carry out the transfer of a property; everything will depend on the main objectives of the owner and who receives the rights.

Types of real estate transfers

The beneficiary cannot continue paying their mortgage, they have the option of transferring both their debt and the property acquired to another person who does have the capacity to pay this obligation.

In this case, the real estate transfer must be authorized by the financial institution that originally granted the loan, and for the process to be legal, it must be done through a contract and in the presence of a notary public.

Likewise, it is recommended that a representative of the financial institution be present at the time of making the agreement-

Requirements for a mortgage transfer:

  • Be up-to-date on mortgage payments and housing services.
  • Whoever receives the rights must comply with the requirements imposed by the financial institution.
  • The buyer, that is, the person who receives the rights, must pay the acquired mortgage monthly, as well as pay in cash the difference between the agreed sale price and the amount of the mortgage debt. The price is determined based on the real value of the house.

Heritage

A will is a document in which a person expresses her last will. In it, an owner can transfer the rights of a property to any person she wants, whether she is a member of her family or not.

Making a transfer of property through a will is one of the smartest ways for investors to avoid jeopardizing their assets, as well as to avoid future personal or financial problems.

By means of a will, an owner can ensure that any real property that he has acquired in life will pass to the right people without risk of being lost or stolen unfairly.

Requirements for a real estate transfer by means of a will:

  • The will must be made and validated through a notary public.
  • The fee established by the notary public must be paid.
  • Whoever makes the will must be the owner of the property and have the deeds of the house.
  • In order to be awarded the property, the beneficiaries must make a probate judgment. This process can take from one to two years and in it a judge decides, based on different documents and evidence, if the will is valid and when the property will be delivered.
  • Whoever inherits must be 17 years old or older, present their identification documents and designate an executor to protect the assets until the testamentary succession sentence is released.

Donation

This transfer of ownership process is similar to the process of receiving an inheritance, however its main difference is that a donation is made when the original owner is still alive.

This property transfer option is useful for those who wish to personally supervise the process of delivery and reception of their real estate; Likewise, since this procedure does not have higher costs, more than the payment of taxes corresponding to Income Tax, it is a viable option for those who need to carry out the donation quickly.

In the event that a person wishes to donate a property, but does not have plans to stop using it in the short term, they may be protected by a clause of “life usufruct”, which will give the donor the ability to continue using the property until the moment of his death and without running the risk of being unfairly evicted.

Requirements to make a real estate transfer through a donation:

  • Like any legal process, it must be validated by a notary public
  • The donation can be total or partial; in some cases it is also reversible, so the beneficiary of it must be correctly decided.
  • In the event that the donation is made to a spouse, from a parent to a child, or from children to parents, the Income Tax must not be paid, if it is made to a third party, 20 percent of the total must be paid. of property value.
  • The donor must be the owner of the property, that is, the sole owner of the property to be transferred.

Buy and sell

This type of real estate transfer is one of the most common in the area of real estate. It is carried out when the owner of a property offers her house and the total transmission of her rights of use, in exchange for a specific amount of money or a good of similar value.

The amount to be paid is determined based on different aspects of the property, for example, the time of its construction, the physical state in which it is located, its location and the use it has been given.

When a seller finds a buyer, he must close the deal by means of a sale contract validated before a notary public. The document must stipulate all the conditions of the real estate transaction, from the sale price and the personal data of both parties involved, to the date on which the debt and the rights that the buyer obtains when signing the contract must be paid.

Requirements to carry out a sale:

  • Both parties must agree to the sale price.
  • The process must be carried out by means of a notary public and signing a contract of sale.
  • The property must be in good condition. If not, the buyer must agree to this situation.
  • The seller must deliver the property deeds to the buyer. The buyer must register them in his name with the help of a professional or by attending the Public Registry of Property and Commerce.

Protect your assets by making a property transfer taking this information into account! Avoid real estate fraud and unexpected situations that endanger your personal finances, with this short guide that will allow you to transfer your properties without risk of losing them. Here at Conveyancing in Melbourne we will help you.

Height safety challenges at work and dealing with them properly

Working at height remains one of the leading causes of death and serious injury. The most frequent causes are falls from roofs, stairs and fragile surfaces. ‘Work at height’ is work carried out anywhere where, if the necessary precautions have not been taken, a person may fall from a height that can cause injury (a fall through a fragile roof, by an elevator shaft unprotected, through the stairwell).

This section shows how to take simple, practical steps to reduce the risk of workers falling while working at height.

Companies like Construction Safety Albury are concerned about providing efficiency and safety to perform any type of work at heights, complying with the technical standards and corresponding accreditations.

What should the employer do?

The employer should ensure that the work is well planned, supervised and carried out by competent persons, with the necessary skills, knowledge and experience. You should also use the proper equipment for working at height.

You should also take a reasonable approach to the precautions that need to be taken. Relatively simple, low-risk tasks require less planning effort, and there are low-risk situations for which common sense dictates that no specific precautions are necessary.

Control measures

First, the employer should assess the risks. It should take into account factors such as the height at which the task will be carried out, its duration and the frequency with which it will be carried out, as well as the conditions under which the surface to be worked on is located.

Before starting to work at height, these simple steps should be followed:

  1. Avoid work at height, when it is reasonable and feasible to do so;
  2. When it is not easy to prevent, prevent falls by performing the task from an existing workplace that is already safe, or using the appropriate equipment;
  3. When the risk cannot be eliminated, minimise the distance and the consequences of a fall, using the appropriate equipment.

For each step, always opt for measures that protect all people from risks (collective protection), as opposed to measures that only protect the person who is doing the work (individual protection).

Collective protection consists of equipment that does not require the person working at height to intervene in order for it to take effect. Examples include guardrails, permanent or temporary, scissor lifts, and tower scaffolds.

Personal protection consists of equipment that requires the person working at height to intervene in order for it to take effect. An example is the proper placement of a safety harness and the connection of this, through an energy absorbing lanyard, to a suitable anchorage point.

What to do and what not to do when working at height

The must-do:

  • Try to carry out as many tasks as possible from the ground;
  • Work from scaffolding and not from ladders, whenever you can;
  • Ensure that workers can safely get to and from the place where they work;
  • Ensure that the equipment is adequate, stable and robust enough for the task at hand, and that it is maintained and regularly reviewed;
  • Take precautions when working on or near fragile surfaces;
  • Provide protection in case of falling objects;
  • Ensure that the equipment is adequate, stable and robust enough for the task at hand, and that it is maintained and regularly reviewed;
  • Provide for emergency evacuation and rescue procedures.

It should not:

  • Overloading the stairs. Reflect on the equipment or materials that workers have to carry before they start working at height. Check the ladder pictogram or label for information on the maximum authorised load.
  • Leaning too much when you are on a ladder;
  • Supporting a ladder to a fragile surface, such as glazing or plastic gutters;
  • Climbing ladders to perform strenuous or physically demanding tasks, use them only for light work of short duration (maximum 30 minutes in a row);
  • Letting someone who is not competent (who does not have the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to do the task) carry out work at height in your local post office.

Engineering systems for fall prevention:

Those systems related to changes or modifications in the design, assembly, construction, installation, commissioning, to eliminate or mitigate the risk of falling. It refers to all those measures taken for control at the source, from those activities aimed at avoiding working at heights or raising the worker, to the implementation of mechanisms that allow less exposure time.

Collective prevention measures:

Those activities aimed at informing or demarcating the danger zone and avoiding a fall from heights or being injured by falling objects. These measures prevent the approach of workers or third parties to fall danger areas, serve as informational barriers and correspond to control measures in the environment.

Work permit at heights:

The work permit at heights is a mechanism that through the verification and prior control of all aspects related to this resolution, aims to prevent the occurrence of accidents during work at heights.

Access systems for work at heights and work in suspension:

The following are considered as access systems for work at heights: scaffolding, ladders, personnel elevators, cranes with a basket and all those means whose purpose is to allow access and / or support for workers to places to carry out work at heights.

Work in suspension lasting more than five (5) minutes, must be carried out using a chair for work at heights, which is connected to the chest strap of the harness and to the descent system.

Finally, it is vital to consider the fall protection measures implemented at heights to stop the fall, once it occurs, or mitigate its consequences. There are passive and active protection measures among which we find:

  • Safety net systems.
  • Fixed anchor points.
  • Portable Anchorage Devices or Portable Anchorage Connectors
  • Fixed or portable horizontal lifeline.
  • Vertical lifelines.
  • Safety hooks.
  • Carabiners
  • Drop restriction connectors.
  • Positioning connectors.
  • Fall arrest connectors.
  • Vertical transit connectors.
  • Such individual protection elements must be certified and supplied by the employer.

Be aware of these risks, the recommendations, and your life at work will be safer. The highest cost you could pay would be to overlook occupational safety and health.

20 tips for a successful office relocation

Strategic planning for an office or corporate move can make the difference between costly downtime relocation and a smooth transition with few hours lost from work. If you are planning to move your office or relocate your business, the following tips can help you get the move done on time and on budget.

  1. Plan 6 months to 1 year before the relocation

Plan to move offices as soon as possible. Business relocations are often planned six months in advance, and large office removals may require up to a year of planning.

  1. Hire companies with experience

Hire a removal company that has extensive experience in commercial removals, as well as the resources and manpower required for an efficient office move. A company with experience in home moves is not the same.

Office removals need special skills. Check out our services here at Commercial Relocation and make sure you are able to move to your new office properly.

  1. Contract with insurance included

Make sure the moving company you hire has insurance and ask that a copy be faxed to you. Especially if you are moving multiple offices.

  1. Program with builders in charge

Schedule the move with the manager of the building you are leaving and entering.

Most likely, the move will need to be done outside of normal business hours, as most buildings will not allow moves during office hours. The best time for an office transfer is usually on the weekend.

  1. Double check the building requirements

Consult with building managers about any other requirements you must meet (each office building is unique). The building may limit the amount of time to park in the cargo area, require that floors be covered or protected, and that elevators be reserved in advance.

  1. Keep employees informed according to law

Talk to your employees about the move as soon as possible during the planning stage and keep them informed. Check with labor law regarding the amount of time a company must notify its employees.

  1. Manage printed address changes

Determine which printed materials, such as business cards, envelopes, and forms, will require address changes. Plan ahead so that you don’t order too much material from your printing press that will make it useless after the move.

  1. Announce the move

Create announcements about the move. Send them by email to your customers and suppliers so that they do not take surprise at the last minute.

  1. Coordinate the teams and plans

Unless you hire a full service, office moving company, hiring a removal coordinator can save you a lot of headaches. This person can coordinate with the moving team, furniture delivery, IT installation team etc.

The best moving companies have these professionals. If you don’t have this option to handle the details, at least create a sketch of the floor plan at the destination so those on the move know where to put the furniture.

  1. Manage packaging capacity

The week before the move, you may need help with packing, so be sure to check with your moving company ahead of time if they have staff available by then.

  1. Make inventory

Let the head of each department take an inventory of all the items that will move in your department.

  1. Make sure the destination is ready

Before the move, go through the new space with the building manager to make sure it’s ready for business (no broken light bulbs, leaks, electrical outlets, etc.).

  1. Find out about heating or refrigeration

Find out if cooling or heating will be on during the move, as some buildings turn these services off by default on weekends, unless they are told you need them.

  1. Transfer of plants

Most removal companies will not be responsible for moving the plants, so you will need to assign someone to be in charge of moving them.

  1. Give employees time to pack objects

Give employees a little time the Friday before the transfer to pack their stationery and any other materials that have not been packed by then. Ask them to take all of their personal possessions.

Ideally, together with the coordinator, it should be planned that the individual work objects of each employee are labeled so that once at the destination they are in the right place.

  1. Managers of origin and destination

It is advisable to have at least two managers present throughout the movement, one at origin and one at destination. However, only those managers must be present during the move.

If more employees are present, they will get in the way of the moving staff and slow down the process.

  1. Internet cables and IT data

Make sure all data cables are installed and tested before IT equipment arrives to set up the network and other equipment. Check with your moving company or moving manager if they need help with disconnecting IT and reconnecting services.

  1. IT team first

If you’re moving existing IT equipment, make sure it’s downloaded first so technical staff can immediately get to work setting up the network, phones, etc.

  1. Delicate objects and works of art

If you have a lot of artwork, academic credentials, etc., find a professional “picture hanger” in your area and schedule them to stop by the office a week or two after the move.

This will take a lot of stress off of management so there are fewer holes in the wall (due to mistakes) and so that everything in the office is hung in the correct way, with adequate lighting.

  1. Correspondence forwarding

Leave instructions in the building you are leaving to have all correspondence re-sent to you. In some cases, you can also notify your local post office.

Here at Commercial Relocations, our team is available 24/7 to provide the professional and personal assistance you need throughout the moving process. We make it easy for you, no matter if you own a large company or a small business. We can provide crates and other packing materials as well as solid advice on how to efficiently prepare for your move.
