Is learning Greek important for people nowadays?

Is learning Greek important for people nowadays?

It is a fact that during recent years, if not decades, in Spain an incomprehensible and monstrous purge of the humanities in general and of the classical languages in particular has been undertaken. It is not my intention to fall into the error of many defenders of the humanities, who, in defending themselves, attack to a certain extent the least -questionable- scientific oppression; but it is true that these, the scientists, are silent in the face of the humanistic slaughter and only tear their clothes -and very well torn before the bleeding of the sciences.

It’s important to keep Greek in high regard for its content and the fact that, in general, we could say that these users are an intellectual elite with respect to the average of the Spanish population. It is also at least worrying that the humanists are criticized more, totally innocent and in fact opposed to the barbarities of the government, than to the government itself perpetrating such nonsense.

But, what’s the use of Greek? To answer this question, many professors, scholars and simple amateurs have written many articles that, in my opinion, tend to remain superficial, anecdotal, all summarised in Latin and Greek to know the etymologies of the words from Spanish and English as well.

Remember that Nestoras College remains an excellent option for students to learn about Greek traditions at no extra cost for their parents. We are excellent at helping young men embrace old Greek culture in their lives.

  1. Does it really have to work for something?

What is music for? What is painting for? What is the purpose of literature? If we go to such absurd questions as “What’s the use of Greek?”, we can legitimately continue the list with other equally absurd questions.

Perhaps the fact that something that does not do much in real life is so passionate is one of the many beautiful things in the humanities.

  1. To learn more about languages like Spanish

Apart from the usual etymologies, of which in this blog we usually give good account, Greek and Latin help us to know our own language, not only at the lexical level, but also syntactic, morphological, phonetic-phonological and grammatical in general.

Just as, as they say, to know our present, we must know our past, to know our language well, we must know his mother, Latin, and his distant aunt, the Greek. The study of the history, phonetics and morphology of Latin will allow us to know the ins and outs of English.

  1. To facilitate the learning of other European languages

And we say European languages in general, the vast majority of which - like the German, so popular lately- are of Indo-European origin, like Latin. The classical languages, unlike many of the modern languages, were far more complex; we already know: the famous cases, a convoluted morphology and syntax, elements that have already disappeared as the participles of present or future, etc.

By acquiring these notions with the study of Latin and Greek, we will master them by the time we need to use them to learn new languages. Not only will it be so in the grammatical aspect, but also in the lexicon.

  1. To learn more about our own language, English

English is a Germanic language, like the aforementioned German. However, for practical purposes and learning, the synergy with Latin can be much greater than with the other Germanic languages.

Van Gelderen, in his book, A History of the English Language, estimates that the current vocabulary of English comes in almost 62% of Latin (45% through French and 17% directly from Latin). As for the syntax, it is also strongly influenced by Latin (I suppose through, to a large extent, the Bible), like English infinitive sentences.

  1. To facilitate the learning of other Romance languages: Italian, French, Catalan, Galician, Romanian

This is a box, and 34 do not think you have to stop and explain it in more detail. If we know the mother, we can guess where the daughters will shoot.

  1. To help us with spelling in general

Having some rather basic notions of Latin and Greek can often save us from committing misspellings in many languages. For instance, there is an English book to reach level C1, in which a mock exam had a notation that should be something like this: “Quiet: we will not ask you to write difficult spelling words like rhythm ‘rhythm’». The difficulty, really, is not such, since with the first week of attending the Greek class of the 1st year of high school, it is learned that ῥυθμός is transliterated into the Latin alphabet as rhythms. End of the problem

Also, in Spanish, a reasonably conservative language with etymological spellings, we benefit from this. An important subject, for instance, is all about the fuss we have with <b> and <v> and the amount of people who write, for example, «government» with <b>, such that * <gobierno>. Such a noun is written with <b> because it was with <b> in Latin, which in turn took it from Greek, in which it was also, in this case, with β. In passing, we learn the metaphor that is in the word: the κυβερνήτης and the gubernator were those who guided a ship, the helmsman; from there, he was renamed governor who guided the state ship. In fact, as we are aware, in nautical terminology the proper verb for ‘driving a ship’ is still ‘to govern (the)’.

  1. It’s natural

It is the only language “of which the name is similar to the thing and its elements (its euphonious sounds and its plastic letters, by which each of its words is conformed) are similar to the natural things of nature.

Remember that here at Nestoras College students learn about Greek traditions at no extra cost for their parents. Today we will learn more about Greek traditions and customs. We are excellent at helping young

Questions and answers about pest control

Control of scorpion pests, bed bugs, centipedes, cockroaches, rodents. In what season is it more convenient to perform the fumigation service? Why?

No matter the season, since all the year we are exposed to different pests (for example rodents in winter, scorpions in summer, centipedes in rainy season, some species of cockroach all year round, etc.). A sporadic service can solve a specific problem of pests, but in order to avoid a recurrence it is important to consider a preventive service. Within the recommendations is the fumigation every season change.

If you want to ensure your house is safe from bugs, cockroaches and other insects, contact Brisbane Terminator today.

How can the presence of bugs or termites affect the property?

Pests can cause severe damage to the structure of our homes and in the case of our businesses not only affect the structure, but also cause a bad image with our customers. Termites eat wood while rodents can gnaw wires and cause fires.

Is there a mixture or chemical that can be purchased to perform a self-fumigation? which one?

Currently there are many products on the market available to the general public, we find for any type of pest, but it is very important to read the product label very well and follow the application instructions.

Many people consider doing it on their own is an easy and cheaper task than hiring a professional driver. Experience tells us that you end up spending more money, wasting time and most worrying: putting your safety at risk by using products inappropriately or by using incorrect doses.

How much does the service cost? (if it is very variable, it can include a price range from the cheapest to the most expensive service)

In residential services prices range from a very expensive to a very low price and can be services on a monthly, bimonthly or quarterly basis; the periodicity of the service is determined based on the conditions of the place where the dwelling is located or the type of pest that is had. For example, the bed bug, now very present in all types of properties requires a more comprehensive service and higher price.

What would be some recommendations to avoid pests? (cleaning, mosquito nets, seal frames …)

The tendency in the control of plagues goes in decreasing more and more the chemical methods and to realize more physical methods, that is to say to modify the habitat of the plague so that this one cannot reproduce, in summary: we must avoid that in our house they find: food, shelter and water.

Main recommendations: Seal cracks and holes in walls, floors, mosquito nets in windows and doors, place dust covers on the doors to access the house and especially a proper handling of our garbage.

Commercial aerosol insecticides, how effective are they?

Sometimes commercial insecticides and the most common home remedies only kill contact and can be effective. However, for certain pests such as ants and German cockroaches, contact insecticides are not effective and other alternatives should be considered. Another disadvantage is that most of these have a very strong smell, which makes them very repellent and this causes the pest to hide and not leave until the odour and effect passes.

What aspects do we have to consider when we want to hire a fumigation company? (to know if it is reliable, etc.)

Among the main points you should consider hiring a professional pest control company are:

  • Finding a well-established business
  • Have a Sanitary License
  • That the personnel are uniformed and the vehicles labelled (for safety)
  • That manages products for urban use
  • That have a Civil Liability Policy
  • Have experience

How common are termites in Australia? How can they affect the structure of my house? How do we detect if we have a problem like this?

Termites are a pest that is present in Australia during the entire year, but manifests mainly in the months of May and October, after the rains. This pest causes severe damage to the structure of the house if it has wooden floors and furniture.

It is not always easy to detect the presence of this type of plague at home, but sometimes they leave a very visible trail, mainly on the walls of the house, these are small earth tunnels in the wall, that if we remove them we will see the activity of this plague; another of the traces left are the damage they cause to the wood, which apart from being unpleasant are expensive.

One of the measures to take into account to prevent the appearance of pests, is the obstruction of access to these organisms. Therefore, in both homes and homes in general, effective forms of pest control are to close access to property and prevent them from forming a shelter and obtaining food.

On the other hand, there are different ways to prevent the entry of these pests to a specific place. For example, to prevent the entry of vermin such as black rats, premises, houses, property, any establishment, among others, are the following:

  • The installation of metal screens in open windows and doors. Also, placement of these meshes in the different ventilation openings, in order to reduce the access problem of common pests. Similarly, it is advisable to place a mosquito net on the windows. In this way, you can avoid the entry of pesky insects, flies and mosquitoes during the day and night.
  • Keep any holes, cracks and other spaces in which they can easily penetrate. In this way, you will prevent mice, rats, other cockroaches from entering your establishment or property.
  • Avoid the entry of other stray animals to your establishment. These are characterised by being carriers of a wide variety of pests such as flea detection, so it is necessary not to come into direct contact with them. In this way, you can avoid any serious disease linked to pests.

Why plants?

You might be wondering why fish need all those plants in the tank. Are they just for decoration or do they serve a higher purpose?  Research indicates that live plants are much more than decoration for freshwater fish. In fact, studies revealed that the majority of freshwater community aquarium fish prefer live aquarium plants to their plastic counterparts. These have the capability of mimicking their natural habitat more effectively. Just like humans, fish are littered with emotions and emotional stimuli and live plants assist fish with many tasks. Take for example a well-planted aquarium. Fish found in here can find shade from glaring light, privacy from things outside of the tank that startle them and a natural safety in times of stress. Live plants allow smaller, shyer fish to evade larger or aggressive tank mates or over-eager potential breeding partners. For shoaling fish, live aquarium plants give the group the currents and eddies they instinctively seek out in the wild. Hence why we should not neglect the addition of live plants in our aquarium tanks.

Caring for live plants

In order for live plants to thrive and be at their optimal health there are three main pylons. Firstly, sufficient lighting. After all they are plants and are autotrophic organisms that require sun light to eat and perform the majority of their functions. Just remember, the deeper the tank the stronger the lighting system needed. At Guppy’s our members of staff are well educated and provide you the necessary knowledge. Secondly, we need to ensure that the proper substrate is being utilised, as it keeps live plants anchored and administers a fertile area for root growth. Fine gravel, specifically designed terracotta gravel, or sand works best for a live plant environment. Never think about using dirt or pond mud, as the bacteria found in them, if unsterilized, are detrimental to the fish’s life. Thirdly, just like the fish need food, so do the live plants. To provide sufficient food for the live aquarium plants, a well-established freshwater aquarium will have some nutrients in the substrate. A new aquarium must be supplemented with live aquarium plant food which is widely available. Even well-established aquariums should be supplemented with extra nutrients for maximum benefit to the community aquarium as a whole. All our tanks here at Guppy’s Warehouse are equipped with all the features and our experts will explain every critical detail in depth with you!

Ground Cover Plants

Ground cover plants, such as Vallisneria, send out “runners” that develop into newly rooted and separate plants. These plants, once matured can be broken off and moved to other regions of the aquarium that suits and will retain their properties. These true aquatic plants are great for ground cover and should be placed in the rear of the aquarium since most species grow tall. However, they cannot tolerate a dry condition, so removing them from the aquarium should not occur as they will dry out and eventually die.

Node Propagators

Characterised by their long stringy branches that easily break off and float to the surface, node propagators are a common plant in aquariums. When a collection of branches reaches the top of the aquarium, these  clusters can be anchored with a lead weight and planted into the substrate. Eventually they will grow back into a completely new plant. Myriophyllum, Ludwigia and Acorus are just some of the species that are node propagators.

Bulbs

Bulbs can be dried out from some aquarium plants and can be re-planted; dry and seemingly dead, under the substrate. Once planted and underwater, these “bulbs” will rapidly sprout and grow very fast under the right conditions and substrate salts. The  Madagascar Lace is a prime example of this type of aquatic plant. These plants, also available in aquarium stores from time to time, are easy to grow, and can be and very attractive. One drawback is they have a definite season. They will grow and put out leaf after leaf from the base at a central core until finally, they produce a flower of sorts in the centre of the core. Once the flower has been produced, the plant will go into decline, establishing its dormant state. It would stay dormant through the dry season, storing its energy until the next rainy season, hence why they require more care both in and out of the aquarium environment.

The list continues with plants that can live both in and out of water, as well as aquatic plants that propagate from a seed! At Guppy’s Warehouse we take pride in providing all our clients with vital information on how to look after, maintain and choose the right plant setup for their aquarium. No to the Goldfish Bowl

Isn’t it the staple of Disney films, household fish as pets and the perception in general that our precious goldfish need to be kept in a bowl? That the bowl is the ideal environment for our pet goldfish to thrive in and enjoy its life? These statements could not be further from the truth! Goldfish, just like any other type of fish requires its space, ideal environment and proper care. It has been recorded that the majority of deaths regarding home kept goldfish is ammonia and or nitrite poisoning due to the minimal levels of oxygen. Let’s have a look at why keeping a goldfish in a bowl is a bad idea.

First and foremost, goldfish bowls are too small. Although the Goldfish you buy at the store looks small, it’s only a matter of time before it outgrows the Goldfish bowl. If properly cared for even a small Goldfish can easily grow to a half foot in length, and many will grow larger than that. Furthermore, Goldfish bowls are too small to accommodate a filtration system, or equipment to circulate and aerate the water. As a result, the water will quickly become depleted of oxygen, and build up toxins that are dangerous to the fish. With such a small quantity of water, it doesn’t take long to hit the danger zone. The bowl usually contains only a few litres of water. If the fish gets lucky and gets a big fishbowl, it contains 10 to 15 litres of water. That’s far too little for a goldfish who needs at least 250 litres.

Secondly, there is just too much waste in such as small area. Goldfish are robust fish that produce more waste than similarly sized fish, which presents a huge challenge in a Goldfish bowl. The absence of a filter or a trace of stable beneficial bacterial colonies, the only way to remove waste, debris and any by-products that are formed is to constantly change the water. In order for this to be effective, water changes must occur every day without a filtration system. Although water changes are beneficial, performing them daily is stressful for the fish. Most owners are tired of the perpetual work and tend to go for longer and longer periods between water changes. If the fish appears healthy in the slightest, the owner may let water changes slide for weeks or months. Under such circumstances and environmental stress, there is a high chance that the fish will soon die from ammonia or nitrite poisoning. Even if the fish doesn’t die, it will become more  and more susceptible to disease as time passes.

Goldfish, just like any other fish should be accommodated inside a tank that is equipped with a filter. The tank should be spacious enough to accommodate an adult goldfish. Their size ranges from half a foot to well over a foot in length. Here at Guppy’s we also say no to the so called “mini-aquariums”, which are only used as a marking hoax! The smallest size tank to consider for a Goldfish is twenty gallons. If you want to keep several, you’ll need a larger tank. Filtration is a must and should be rated at a minimum of four times the tank size in gallons, per hour. Here at Guppy’s Warehouse we house the utmost finest tanks and filtration systems in Australia. Our tanks are also equipped with thermometers, not that a goldfish need warm water, as they prefer cooler water, however, it is wise to have one in order to monitor the temperature. As water temperature rises the amount of dissolved oxygen drops. This can be harmful to the goldfish!

No Goldfish kept in a Goldfish bowl lives as long and healthy life as one kept in the properly sized and equipped tank. Some tough Goldfish may survive in such circumstances for a few years, but that is far from a normal lifespan for a Goldfish. A fish tank filter is a vital component for each and every fish tank configuration. Filtering of the water plays a vital role for the well-being and overall health of the fish, ensuring ammonia poisoning will not impact its life!

Without the utmost latest technologies that Guppy’s has mastered and provides to you, a normal fish tank filter is prone to clogging and accumulating malicious particles that put your fish at harm! Think of water as the fish’s air! It needs to be clean and healthy as possible. We are always researching and evolving our fish tank filters to suit the demands of new technology. We are always educating ourselves, in order to provide the utmost professional service to all our clients. This is why we stand out here at Guppy’s Aquarium and we urge you to browse our online market place for a variety of products, such as fish food online Australia, aquarium pumps, wave maker apparatus, aquarium chiller systems and any aquarium supplies Australia that you might require.

Clean, clean and clean!

Regular and precise maintenance of your aquarium and or fish tank plays a pivotal role in the life expectancy of your fish. By effectively cleaning, you create the correct environment for your aquatic species e.g. fish, plants, corals, invertebrates, anemones. You also need to maintain correct water quality levels, something like this will help to reduce diseases, fish loss, algae and other water quality related problems. Finally, it will prolong the life and efficiency of your aquarium equipment. Here at Guppy’s Aquarium we take pride in explaining to all our clients in great depth, the most optimal cleaning procedures to ensure you and your fish are happy. Marine aquarium supplies for cleaning tanks, tend to whistle in the ear of clients as expensive, first-class services for maintaining any coral or fish species. However here at Guppy’s Aquarium Warehouse we provide state of the art marine aquarium supplies at equitable prices, so you won’t have to dig deep into your wallet. From marine saltwater tanks to freshwater tanks our diversity and exceptional knowledge is displayed, regarding marine aquarium supplies. We also encourage our clients to pop into our office to discuss about their potential purchase. We will enlighten you and guide you towards a suitable choice that will suit your needs.

Looking more into the cleaning aspect, there are plentiful products that can aid with it. These include good quality filters, gravel cleaners, algae magnets, glass cleaners, scrapers, sponges and tongs. Additionally, you can utilise brushes for cleaning your filters and pumps. Finally, a more sophisticated way of cleaning is with water treatments, that help in maintaining the tank water, these can include and are not limited to water clarifiers, ammonia & waste removers, algae treatment, snail rid and more. So, once you are equipped with all the necessary apparatus for the cleaning job, lets dive into how to clean effectively.

Ensure you know when to start cleaning. A little algae is good you should only commence cleaning once the tank is very dirty. Start by giving the glass a good cleaning on the inside with an algae pad. Here at Guppy’s Aquarium we administer the utmost finest cleaning pads on the market. Buy algae pads at Guppy’s Warehouse instead of the housewares department of a regular store. Although they may look the same, the housewares pads can have soap or chemical residue. That residue doesn’t matter if you are cleaning your kitchen sink, but it can be lethal to your fish. If there is any final and stubborn algae, utilise a metallic scrubber or a razor blade. Ensure that safety precautions are taken at all times!

Moving onto the cleaning of the rocks. Once the inside glass is clean as explained above, remove rocks, artificial plants, or decorations that have significant algae growth, or are noticeably dirty. It is very important you do not clean them with soap or detergents. It is increasingly difficult to completely remove soap from a surface, and even a trace of soap can be lethal to fish. Usually, a good scrub with an algae scraper will remove the algae and dirt from rocks and plants, leaving them in perfect condition.

Pro Tip: Live plants can be bleached. However, stem plants are not tolerant of bleaching. To bleach live plants, prepare a 5 percent bleach solution, soak the plants for two to three minutes, then rinse well.

Next in line we have the gravel. By using a water siphon to vacuum away the debris, this is the most optimal way of removing grit and debris from the gravel. There are several types of siphons available, all of which work essentially the same. Consider the Aqua-one Vac-a-tank Gravel Cleaner 24″ because its high flow eradicates grit from gravel.

Once the inside of the aquarium is cleaned, clean the hood, light, tank top, and outside glass. Regular glass cleaners contain ammonia (NH3), which is toxic to fish. Standard lime cleaners are even more toxic. It is strongly recommended that you use vinegar or cleaners designated as aquarium safe, such as the ones offered in our online store you can chose from.

Once you’ve gotten your tank in shape, ensure you clean it on an on-going basis. This way it never needs a major spring-cleaning session again. Scrape the glass weekly, vacuum the gravel every time you perform a water change and clean any rocks or plants as soon as you see debris or algae on them. Additionally, clean the filter monthly, either by replacing the media or rinsing it.

Our expert team will assist you with choosing the most suitable fish tank cleaning products to suit your tank, explaining all the cleaning patterns and necessary maintenance. it is vital to understand these procedures, in order to extract the most out of your little friend and ensure that its health is in perfect condition. With commitment and constant upgrading of our immaculate range of products, we are proud to be highlighted as Australia’s leading aquarium product distributor. Not only can you visit our warehouse, but you can indulge in our products with just a few clicks. Our new and improved online store is now available for you to browse. Meet your Metals!

Jewel crafting is an ancient profession, encompassing a wide range of techniques, gems and metals. Each metal used to represent social status, economic growth and had a major impact on society. Love Lockets take pride in their knowledge on materials, techniques and even new advancements in the jewellery field and today we want to share with you the main metals that are used in jewel crafting. Let’s begin!

Silver – Ag

Pure silver is too soft to utilise for crafting, so it’s mixed with copper and or other metals to create sterling silver, which makes it more durable and resistant. It is paramount that sterling silver contains at least 92.5% pure silver, which is why it’s stamped as .925. You can find this hallmark on the inside shank of a sterling silver ring or stamped on the back of a pendant or other item. While sterling silver is harder than pure silver, it can still be scratched fairly easily. Don’t let that discourage you though, sterling silver can range from bright white to a greyish tone with both matte and shiny finished. The versatility of this metal is amazing. When sterling silver is plated with gold it tends to change its colour. As mentioned, due to the metal being quite soft and fragile, proper care is a must with all your silver jewellery.

Gold – Au

Nothing says “I love you” more than a gold piece! Few metals capture the heart like gold. A traditional choice for all types of jewellery, gold is the most easily worked of all metals because it is naturally very soft and malleable. However, to create jewellery designs that are strong and durable, pure gold is alloyed with other metals such as copper and zinc, which strengthen it and gives it its colour. Gold jewellery is consistently timeless and so elegant. With gold, there is much to talk about. You have yellow-gold, which is naturally yellow in colour that needs to be alloyed with silver to bring out its natural warmth. Next is white-gold, where gold is combined with palladium and silver or even with nickel, copper and zinc. To improve whiteness, it is often coated with platinum and will often be re-dipped as the years pass to ensure its whiteness. Lastly, we have rose-gold. To create the rosy-pink colour, pure gold is combined with more copper. The more copper the more rosier!

Platinum – Pt

Platinum is a natural white metal that comes directly from the earth.  Unlike white gold that needs to be alloyed with other white metals to mask its yellow colour, platinum is manufactured into jewellery that is 90% or 95% pure. Platinum is extremely long wearing and is very white, so it does not need to be rhodium plated like white gold does. Because it is so strong and hard, the details of intricately engraved or embellished rings often look sharper and more precise. The bright whiteness of the metal makes it perfect for showing off diamonds and gemstones.

Fun Fact: Platinum is 30 times rarer than gold and is found in very few places in the world, mainly South Africa and Russia, and to a lesser extent in Zimbabwe, Canada and South America. Every year only 88 tons of platinum is made into jewellery, compared with 2,700 tons of gold.

Alternative Metals – Co, Ti, W etc.

Alternative metals for jewellery include and are not limited to cobalt, stainless steel, titanium and even tungsten. Initially, cobalt jewellery is made from the same material used to build jet-craft engines! With a near 100% rate of it not being able to be scratched, it tends to be utilised in more engineering applications. Moving forward, stainless steel is a metal with a plethora of uses. Most commonly, stainless steel is seen in kitchenware, appliances and hardware, stainless steel is also used to make watches and jewellery. Stainless steel is a silvery‐white colour with a mirror finish that retains its shine and colour very well and resists tarnishing. The most popular uses for stainless steel in jewellery are watches, bracelets, rings, earring posts and body jewellery. Titanium on the other hand, is versatile, lightweight and strong, with a silvery‐white metallic colour. This metal is as strong as steel but is 45% lighter in weight and is similar to platinum in its resistance to tarnishing. It is up and coming in the jewellery world as it is used more efficiently in other areas of practice. Finally, tungsten. Tungsten jewellery always look new and are high scratch resistant. It is a very popular metal with men’s wedding rings and can be inlaid with other metals, such as gold and platinum for optimal finishes.

The History of Jewellery & Christmas

Festivities are just around the corner, with the nation gearing up to make each Christmas more enjoyable than the previous. However, when was jewellery firstly established as a means of a gift? The primal descriptions of jewellery were noted in way before our time. Jewellery made from shells, stone and bones survive from prehistoric times. It is likely that from an early date it was worn as a protection from the dangers of life or as a mark of status or rank. This might show that people in that era would distinguish people from society based on their jewellery. In the ancient world the discovery of how to work metals was an important stage in the development of the art of jewellery, it was not utilising bones anymore. Throughout time, metalworking techniques became more sophisticated and decoration more intricate. Gold, was a rare commodity in ancient times, and was buried with the dead so as to accompany its owner into the afterlife. Much archaeological jewellery comes from tombs and hoards. Sometimes, as with the gold collars from Celtic Ireland which have been found folded in half, it appears people may have followed a ritual for the disposal of jewellery. As we can see, jewellery has been linked to emotional gratification and class from the beginning of human existence.

From 1200-1500 we are in the medieval times and the jewellery found back then in Europe reflected an intensely hierarchical and status-oriented society. The main metals in this era were gold, silver and any precious gems. Lower ranked members of society wore base metals like copper, whereas the higher echelon wore silver and gold. Gems were thought to be precious and administer protective powers over the individuals wearing them. Pearls symbolised purity, and the red gems may have symbolised sacrificial blood of a warrior. It is important to note that until the late 14th century, gems were usually polished rather than cut, this is because the size of the specific gems symbolised and determined their value. Additionally, many of the crafting techniques that were used to add effects on gems are still widely utilised in today’s day and age. The bigger the better back in the day!

Moving forward in time, and we land in the renaissance era. Jewells in this era shared the age’s passion for splendour. Enamels, often covering both sides of the jewel, became more elaborate and colourful and advances in cutting techniques increased the glitter of stones. Religion played a pivotal role also in jewellery design, as many pieces were worn either for earthly “God-given” powers or could reflect political strength. Particular types of stones were thought to protect against specific ailments or threats, ranging from toothache to the evil eye. They could also encourage or banish such characteristics as bravery or melancholy. This was a transitional period for jewellery as it was a more psychological link towards the metals and stones than a sentimental one. Creepy!

By the mid-17th century, changes in fashion had introduced new styles of jewellery. While dark fabrics required elaborate gold jewellery, the new softer pastel shades became graceful backdrops for gemstones and pearls. Expanding global trade made gemstones ever more available. Advances in cutting techniques increased the sparkle of gemstones in candlelight. During this period, jewellery was stitched to clothing and worn as one, with an array of designs and intricate adaptations. Frenchman, Jean Toutin of Châteaudun was the pioneer of the era and most designs were based of his work. The striking colour combinations, in conjunction with painted opaque enamel was a huge innovation of that time.

During the 18th century and the discovery of diamonds, this was the primary stone utilised. They dominated the era and were frequently mounted in silver to enhance the stone’s white colour. However, in the 19th century, the focus shifted back to archaeological jewellery and older designs. The 19th  century was a period of huge industrial and social change, but in jewellery design the focus was often on the past. In the first decades classical styles were popular, evoking the glories of ancient Greece and Rome, with a high influence of the medieval era. The huge shift in this period was the Art Nouveau style, which caused a dramatic shift in jewellery design, reaching a peak around 1900 when it triumphed at the Paris International Exhibition. Its followers created sinuous, organic pieces whose undercurrents of eroticism and death were a world away from the floral motifs of earlier generations. Art Nouveau jewellers also distanced themselves from conventional precious stones and put greater emphasis on the subtle effects of materials such as glass, horn and enamel.

Love from the anvil

Jewellery techniques and craftsmanship has dated back since human existence. Beauty, elegance and meticulous showing has engulfed the human race and is still on display until today. Utilising wood, feathers and animal skin the primary humans manufactured exquisite art pieces and clothing that the majority of us will envy! Rolling on the years of technological advancements and evolution of metallurgy and gem-processing, jewellery had a defined role in human existence. Jewellery shows character. Displays the fundamental characteristics of each and everyone’s personalities indirectly and is the beauty factor of each individual. Primarily, Egypt and China were responsible for the first cases of gem-processing and distribution across the world until encompassed by a European touch and finally met the standards of today’s era.

However, shall we focus on the one gem that sparks excitement and trepidation! The diamond! You might be wondering : “Why would diamonds entice trepidation and anxiety?” Well, you might not have been proposed to then! All joking aside, diamonds were initially discovered 2400 years ago in India and South Africa has evolved into one of the world’s leading diamond distributors. To appreciate the difficulty of obtaining a diamond lets look at its path to our workbenches. A diamond has to go through a lot before it reaches our display cases. It forms deep in the earth under extreme conditions of heat and pressure. It is then ejected violently upward until it arrives at or near the earth’s surface. It’s forced from its hiding place by nature or by man. Then it’s cleaved and cut and polished until its natural beauty shines through. What a life! Through continuous study of diamonds, scientists in the past 30 years alone, have learned a lot about how diamonds form and how they’re transported to the earth’s surface. That knowledge has made it easier to predict locations for new diamond discoveries. Jewellery has an outstanding history and is embellished with class and pride. Another factor that shall arise is the way these impeccable jewels are crafted, extracted and manipulated in order to produce such perfection and delicacy. An array of gemmologists, silver-cutters, gold-cutters and master-cutters have all advanced their techniques with the assistance of technology to produce such alluring objects.

From the old facilities of mining and smithing to technological advancements that heat, pressure and mould metals with a touch of a button is what defines our era. Technology has come a long way in the jewellery crafting realm and definitely plays a pivotal role in the modern techniques utilised for ring crafting. Newly developed machines that provide precision cutting to accurate moulding apparatus are all inventions in recent history of gem-crafting. Here at Love Lockets we understand and value these techniques to the utmost highest level, as well as seeking alternative methodologies to add extra prestige and a lovely touch. What are flyers and what are they for?

In the era of communications, flyers have a special place, since all first-class companies use them as a means of advertising. Therefore, it turns out to be of total interest and utility to know everything about them.

Although flyers have been around for several years, they are now known by that name, since they have always been called flyers or brochures. Therefore, it is one of the most used means for any kind of company, from the smallest or first level companies.

Therefore, many companies are responsible for hiring experienced professionals in the matter to create the flyers they need. However, it is not a challenging task to carry out and with a simple tutorial you can create a variety of very interesting flyers.

Certainly, an easy and quick way to make flyers is through specialised software, which can be generated from a novice to a professional. Precisely, through Photoshop you can create any kind of Flyers adapted to the design and image of the company in question.

It is a way of advertising that is gaining strength in the ways of communicating a new product, a promotion or simply making itself known. Precisely, the most interesting of all is that brochures can be used in a concrete way, such as paper or also generated digitally. It is also one of the most used means by first class companies or SMEs that are just starting their way in the business world.

Here at Morning Star Press we’re proud of helping Australian businesses have top catalogue printing with vivid colours that call the attention of customers and new-comers while providing a professional and reliable image.

How to get some custom flyers?

Morning Star Press is the market leader in the online printing sector, with a wide catalogue which highlights business cards, printed flags and flyers, among others. The advantage of Morning Star Press is that printing is easier, cheaper and faster.

In addition, all products can be customized according to the tastes of each of the customers. Certainly, there are more than a thousand online designs, so there is always the alternative of finding what you are looking for. Also, thanks to the different templates it offers, you can find the design you are looking for.

Another advantage offered by Morning Star Press is its high efficiency in delivery, so if a customer makes an order, they will receive it in less than 24 hours. From the company it is reported that “flyers are our most requested and most popular marketing material in our product range. A flyer is a sheet of paper that can be designed and printed completely according to your own needs. ” In this way, it does not matter which business needs a particular brochure, since you will find the design that will ensure you reflect your style, thanks to the possibility of choosing the format, colour and size of the letters as well as the images.

The importance of an advertising flyer

The society in which we live is increasingly oriented towards the digital sphere: the development of new technology has changed and continues to transform the way in which we communicate and, in the case of companies, the way in which they are given to know. However, even in the era of technological communication, printed products are still an indispensable part of any promotional and commercial strategy because they enjoy a level of versatility and accessibility that other media do not even come close to.

First of all, paper has a physical and practical presence that calls and attracts the reader; the physicality and tangibility (subject that we have treated in this other article) of the material stimulates the senses and this contact is very important. In fact, brochures represent one of the most effective communication tools, especially because they come directly into the hands of people and this explains why it is essential that they be carried out in the right way: the design must be eye-catching, attract attention and be fixed in the mind of the one who receives it.

The fundamental objective is to capture the attention and interest of those who read them. So, the design and the correct configuration from the graphic point of view, the colour and even the format is undoubtedly a factor to be taken into account. There are multiple formats, from the traditional A5 or A6 to the most original ones, folded brochures, or with personalized forms.

In this sense, it is always advisable to contract with companies that have a specialized design department. Indeed, for many companies, brochures or flyers are essential elements to encourage consumers especially in a critical period like the one that is going through today. To create an attractive content in them, as well as an adequate and effective graphic design, can involve the help of experts.

However, many times, with little knowledge of design, it is also possible to create the own file autonomously and currently there are many forms and free computer tools that allow a design. But it is not enough to make a black and white advertising brochure, fill it with so much useless information or with texts always using the same source because the final result will not lead, without doubt, to success. Also, the dimension is an important aspect because it is useless a large brochure to advertise such as an event or a product because it would be uncomfortable and off-centre. The greater the client’s ability, the better the result and the more relevant the effects of the brochure.

At the same time, it is necessary to analyse the colours, style, writing and the most appropriate phrases or slogans so that they achieve the desired result or attract the attention of those who take them in their hands. In these cases, the help of an expert is important, because it allows you to obtain advice from all points of view such as those mentioned above.

Do not forget, that good advertising, which occurs through the direct distribution of material, such as flyers, needs care and attention to detail. Here at Morning Star Press you’ll find qualified professionals with years of experience on these tasks.

Moving to the new house, here are some tips to adapt to the new house

The moment has fled, finally we will have our own house; however, there are a number of things to consider before living comfortably in our home. Moving first and adapting afterwards is not a simple process, here are some simple tips.

For example, a couple, a middle-class family, finally managed to make true their lifelong dream: to acquire their own house, behind the comings and goings in rental flats, little stability, constant changes in habits and customs, discomfort to move from one place to another; they had just taken a big step and as the man went from erratum to become sedentary and settle in a land, they could finally live as they should, in one place and in a roof that belongs to them.

Many people, who do not have a house of their own, might want to be like this couple; However, do not think that this is an easy process, it’s a long way to go, that starts with the decision to buy a flat and goes through the difficult thing that is to save with what the economy is and then find the right place to live.

Now what we want to convey is that the problem does not end there, having the home is the first step, the second is to adapt ourselves and help our children to feel comfortable with this new life.

A removal can be a complicated and delicate experience for a family, especially when you have children, it involves many changes, some simple and others really complicated, even going to the field of the psychological. The changes always affect, bother a little, turn into an inconvenient for some, give us extra work, we need time, we invest money and above all things we bother the lives of our children.

Here at Five Stars Removals as a long-standing moving company, we have experience in working as reliable furniture movers in Adelaide. We can help you move to a new place!

The first step after moving

Children find it more difficult than an adult to adapt to a new environment, for them not only is acceptance in the new neighbourhood, but also feel included in the school environment, or if they are older, in the institute or university. Therefore, we advise you that a first step before moving to the new house is to position in the minds of our children the why, they will have the question latent at all times, because we move, because to that house, because to that neighbourhood, etc… The truth is the best, explain clearly the real reason and the improvements that this will entail in your lifestyle.

One way out of the previous mess is to say, for example, “we moved because we will finally have our own house, we will not have to move anymore and you can lead a better life and have friends for as long as you want”. We can also add the “gains” that are obtained by having a bigger house, own and if you can new, one of them is to mention the detail of “you will have your own room” or “the house has a nice playground to play”.

The family dialogue is also important, if the family is more or less numerous, say about five members, we must promote a “dialogue table”, exchanging opinions about the good and the bad of the new house. As heads of family take note of the things that are considered bad, in order to find the best solution to them, once they are living in the new house.

Focus on what matters the most

We must set our children in this new life and of course set ourselves. It is good to take a stroll around the place where our new home is, visualise the routes to the important places, visit the shopping centre, the corner store, the places of recreation for children, the cinema, see what accommodates us and what do not. Places for children photographed with digital, this way they can teach their children when they return, the benefits of the new area where they will live.

Before beginning the actual moving process, remember that it takes some time and requires some planning. It is good and healthy to make a schedule of execution of the process, as well as to establish a budget and the necessary contacts with the removal agency to carry it out. It must be budgeted from the packing tape, through the boxes, markers, bags, and others.

Another separate issue is the packaging process, the work must be joint, it is good that the children participate in this process, take into account the “favourite” things of their children, pack them separately and consider that these things are the first things that should be unpacked in their new rooms. The favourite items of our children should be part of the decoration in their bedrooms; If it is possible to recreate some familiar environments of the old house or places that have been preferred, the idea is to make children feel “at home”.

When packing things, consider making an inventory of what they pack in each box. This inventory must be attached to each package with a copy that you will keep, indicating both the box and the copy sheet, the corresponding box number.

Finally, should not forget that a new house is a reason to celebrate, even if it’s funny, throw a party, celebrate with the family and if possible, invite the new neighbours, maybe they also have children. This first meeting is a way to interact with the new neighbourhood and integrate into the social life of this that will be your new world.

Always remember that in a moving the most important thing is not things, nor the new house, your children are the central theme, they should spend more time and be attentive to any doubts, questions or concerns they may have regarding the process to adapt to this new life.

Remember that you can contact us if you want to have your furniture safe during a removal. Here at Five Star Removals we will be happy to assist you.

The 7 ultimate tips to stop losing when playing poker

Follow these ten basic tips to stop losing poker playing and become an expert. Tricks and techniques that will make you better in poker.

Find a serious place such as https://funcasinomelbourne.com.au/ where you can feel comfortable and spend some time having fun and winning. You can spend a great time with your friends playing some chance games and earning good money for extra expenses.

  1. Play fewer hands at the beginning

Many of the players who start playing poker do so more for the fun that the game generates than for earning money, so they play many more hands than they should play, something that hurts them greatly.

Starting to play less hands will give you a great advantage against those players who play too many hands and do so aggressively. In addition, being more demanding when it comes to action, this will affect your post-flop decisions will be much easier and waste much less money to reduce the occasions when you put money in the pot having a worse hand than your rival (or rivals).

When you have more experience, you can play more hands and have more creativity in the post-flop game, but until your level of play has not grown enough, the best thing you can do is put money in the pot just when you have a good hand in your power.

  1. The position in poker

The second advice focused on helping beginners succeed in poker is about how to play in position is really important to win.

The position in poker is probably the most important concept in Texas Hold’em, being the chances that if you are a losing player this is because they play too many hands and also do it out of position.

  1. Count your “Outs”

Counting outs is the third tip for beginners not to lose in poker. Being able to count the outs that have a hand to improve and become the strongest is the first step to approach understanding, as well as the use of odds and odds in poker, something necessary to be a winning player.

For this reason, if you want to win in poker, sooner or later (in this case the sooner the better) you must get familiar with the outs and learn to count these. Fortunately for you and for all beginning players, the process of counting outs is really simple.

  1. Learn to count your odds

The fourth strategy board to avoid failure at poker tables focuses on the basic odds at Texas Hold’em tables. To win in poker is not necessary to learn advanced probabilities, but it is convenient and even essential to have basic knowledge of probabilities.

The good news is that everything you need to be able to use the basic odds at the poker tables, you just have to have basic knowledge of mathematics, being enough what you learned in school (and institute).

  1. Pay attention to the table

Poker is a game in which it is necessary to collect information since the more data you have of the rivals and the situation, the better results you will get and, therefore, the more money you will get. This is clear, although it is common to see doubts among beginners when it comes to knowing what they should be watching and how to do it.

Paying attention in poker means much more than simply remembering past hands. From the moment you sit at the table you should observe everything that happens around you.

From the way in which the player has made the buy-in to the way of playing the different hands, going through his way of dressing, you need to store all possible information at all times doing this as a process that will help you to take good decisions that will help you increase your budget.

The way to pay attention to beginners is mainly (and almost only) focused on analysing and extracting attention only from the hands in which they are involved. You need to be really attentive to each of the hands that are disputed, whether you are in them or not.

  1. Classify your opponents

Pay attention to the percentage of times each player bets before the flop and from what positions he usually does. When another player sees his bet, how many times does he make a continuation bet after the flop? are they able to bet (even bluffing) on the three streets or abandon their aggressiveness with bets after a single hand?

Does the player tend to perform semi-bluffs with their projects or do they prefer to play them passively, betting and re-raising bets only when they have a great hand?

Since you sit at the table you must begin to classify your opponents as aggressive or passive, as well as loose or tight.

There is a saying known in poker that says that if you have not been able to find the target in the first ten minutes, you are the target. You must discover the weak players and pay attention to know what is the best way to take advantage of them.

  1. Bankroll for poker

Having an exclusive budget or bankroll to play poker is really important, something that many of the players forget with negative consequences for them. Having this money independent will help you to know the exact data of your gains or losses, in addition to reducing your stress in case of losing sessions.

If you play poker online and do not want to have to deposit money again, follow our advice and take advantage of them to never enter bankruptcy.

Determine how many buy-ins you must have in your budget regarding the cost of entry to the gaming table in the cash games, as well as the number of tickets available for a tournament, to survive without running out of luck to a run of bad luck.

Remember that these types of games can be an excellent way to lose stress while earning some money, check our website for more information!

How does stuttering works in the brain?

Two recent studies show a new vision both in the treatment or cure for stuttering, and in the understanding of its physiological basis. Recent studies reveal more effective treatments and a better physiological understanding of stuttering.

Surely on some occasion you have heard someone speak by prolonging certain sounds or syllables, repeating the same word again and again before finishing a sentence. It is a person with stuttering, a speech rhythm disorder that in our country affects five of every 100 children and two out of every 100 adult individuals. These figures are quite significant and important, since they suggest the possibility of remitting this alteration of communication over the years thanks to early detection and adequate subsequent treatment.

Stuttering generates a series of very serious psychological effects on the mood and self-esteem of those who suffer from it, most of them associated with feelings of shame, fear, anger, anxiety and frustration. The fact of not being able to express oneself in a clear and fluid way often leads to questioning the intelligence or the emotional ability of stutterers, provoking a feeling of lack of control that often results in depression. However, despite popular beliefs, stuttering is not produced by anxiety, but takes place due to poor functioning of the speech centres of the left hemisphere, which is intended to compensate with a mechanism of the right hemisphere.

Here at Parkwood Green Medical we will assist you and help you with any speech problems you have.

It is possible to learn to speak fluently

Thanks to two studies carried out by researchers from the University of California at Santa Barbara, new information has been obtained about the treatment and possible cure for stuttering, as well as a better understanding of its physiological basis. In the first research, published in the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology, a new treatment is compared with those that had traditionally been applied to date, while in the second, (which appears in the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research), images of the affected areas of white matter in the brains of several adult stutterers are analysed.

By examining both studies together, the researchers came to two fundamental conclusions, which have already become key points to better understand this speech disorder: there is a neuroanatomical abnormality in the brains of people who stutter, however, such people do They are able to learn to speak fluently even though their brain presents this problem.

A progressive and effective treatment for stuttering

Thanks to an intensive program designed to prolong the duration of speeches, it is possible to teach stutterers to reduce the frequency with which the intervals between phoneme and phoneme occur in a word, while they are speaking. Through software in which the voice of the stutterer is recorded, information is provided in real time so that the latter becomes aware of the duration and of the sounds that he repeats more frequently, and in this way, he can learn to reduce his incidence, which significantly improves fluency.

It is a program consisting of several phases, in which participants face increasingly complex speech tasks. In addition, the system requires a lot of consistency to achieve optimal results. Normally, the person performs different activities for two or three hours a day, and the treatment is carried out for several months until they begin to notice remarkable improvements in communication.

Cure for stuttering: The key is in the white matter

In addition to being considered as a psychological or emotional condition, stuttering presents a neuroanatomical and physiological base located in the brain. Using a magnetic resonance imaging scanner to examine the brain white matter of different stuttering individuals, Professor Grafton and his colleagues discovered that they shared several anomalies in the arcuate fasciculus, one of the main pathways connecting the language areas of the brain.

In the vast majority of stutterers, we scan, it seems that there is a large part of the connection that is projected in the temporal cortex, an area of the brain also fundamental to the perception of speech. In the future, researchers intend to study the brains of stutterers who have overcome this disorder, to see if the white matter can really recover after a progressive treatment.

10 exercises to overcome stuttering

If we suspect that our son has a speech disorder, the first thing we have to do is stop and observe. Specially with children.

It is necessary to know when, where, how and with whom it occurs, in order to establish why, the cause of such stuttering. In many cases there is a genetic predisposition to stuttering, so it is advisable to find out if any of the parents had that problem in childhood.

Another fundamental point to take into account is the age of the child, since there is an evolutionary stutter that appears around the 3 or 4 years of age in which the child tends to repeat the words, or sometimes ‘stuck’ and not knows how to continue If, on the other hand, our child is more than 5 years old and the stuttering continues or has been accentuated, it is advisable to ask for help and assess the problem in order to start an intervention.

Once we have observed the problem, it is important that the parents:

  1. Do not finish the child’s sentences. He has to learn to speak for himself so that he sees that he can face the problem and emerge victorious from it.
  2. Do not mess with him, get angry or belittle him when this problem occurs.
  3. Do not interrupt him, let him finish the sentences. You can be encouraged to finish, with words of encouragement, or a smile.
  4. Record him when he speaks slowly and when he speaks quickly, so that he can hear and begin to see the differences.
  5. Sing with him and record him so he can hear and see that when he sings, he does not stutter. Explain that this happens because singing “manages” better the amount of air to expel.
  6. Work with the child diaphragmatic breathing (learn to do a deep breath in which the air reaches the diaphragm or the gut).
  7. Do puff exercises, such as puffing balloons, blowing candles, blowing straw … in this way we will strengthen the voice organs.
  8. Lengthen the vowels when speaking. This we can do especially when the child reads.
  9. Train sentences by turns, as for example, the parents begin a sentence, stop and ask the child to finish it.
  10. Control the child’s anxiety behaviours. Work with him the fear of stuttering.

How do we know that the idea that out business will work?

Many of us want to be independent and have our own business, but we have no idea what to invest in, or how or where to start. Therefore, we give you some tips and tell you about projects that might interest you to undertake.

Part of a premise that must be very clear and is that you and no one else will be the one who makes the decisions about the opportunities presented to you. Finally, who has to work and move for things to work is you.

For that reason, it is that it has to avoid to the maximum to compare itself with the others, but eye! We are not telling you to stop inquiring or not to report on how is the market sector where you want to undertake, quite the opposite, this is very important because for example, if the economic situation tells us that the hydrocarbons sector is not at its best moment and analysts say that the ideal is to stop investing in oil, well we must abandon the ship and take another course.

When we talk about comparing our business with others, we refer to the image of success or failure that you may have of your neighbour, friend or relative. And this is not the most appropriate way.

You have to think about yourself and your abilities, if you are going to compare it do not do it superficially, because your family member may have gone wrong with the business because he could not manage it and it was never organized, but the opposite is true for you, because in that sense it is more disciplined. So, take a risk.

If you want to have financial information organised in a way that it is easier for you to make the right decision in the right moment, here at Nudge Accounting you will find that service

How to know if the idea you have in mind can become a business?

It is the initial notion of the company that you want to create. This initial idea presents essential characteristics such as the identification of a need or problem to be solved, which are met through a product or service with which an economic benefit is expected.

It seems difficult, however, imagining is free, because the ideas never end and usually, we build them daily, what happens is that we force ourselves to have them and these should arise naturally just as happens to the Children, therefore, it is best to relax and let them flow.

Present your own business with Platforms to make business presentations, different from power point

  • Associate with the creation of a product or service (be it physical or digital).
  • Having people who have a real need in which they can validate their satisfaction.
  • Generate income.
  • It sparks your enthusiasm and motivate you.
  • Be something in which you are committed.
  • Must have legal aspects allowed.

Think that these characteristics require time and effort so that they finish well and are achieved. If you still think you are confused about what you want to do and you do not have clarity in your business idea, we recommend that you make a determination based on the things you like, the needs or problems of others or your work experience.

Tips to start your own business

Because putting yourself in the task of undertaking can be very stressful, we leave you some recommendations of Entrepreneur:

  • Discover your skills.
  • Write a business plan.
  • Identify your market (refers to the target audience).
  • Establish a budget.
  • Find an investor (whether you use your savings, credit cards, loans or donations).
  • Determine the legal structure.
  • Register the name of the company.
  • Take advantage of free resources (for example, social networks).

How to calculate the profitability of your business

If you have a business or you want to start one, you have to take into account some indicators in order to have an estimate of its profitability in order to avoid unexpected surprises.

The survival of any business lies in its viability and this makes calculating profitability is a need that many entrepreneurs do not even consider because they do not know the tools or indicators for it.

A useful tool

To calculate profitability, you must apply some indicators to the accounts of your company, that is, write numbers. You must bear in mind that a simple indicator will not guarantee anything at 100%, but it will become a very useful tool. One of the important values for calculating profitability is the threshold of profitability, fixed from a key figure, the stalemate.

Calculate the dead point

The dead point is nothing more than the number of sales, units or services billed to cover the fixed costs. From that amount of sales, your business will have benefits, all with the logical variations that businesses have over the months, mainly those related to variable costs.

The threshold of the profitability formula

To calculate the profitability, we define the threshold or neutral point under the following formula: RU = CF / (P-CV). That is, the break-even point is equal to the fixed costs divided by the price per unit minus the variable cost per unit.

With this resulting value you will know the minimum billing with which a company is viable. You must bear in mind that if your billing is less than that number, you will not be able to calculate the profitability, simply because there will not be.

Tools for calculation

If you have not been clear or do not have the experience to calculate this threshold of profitability, there are applications in Excel for free use in the network with which you can calculate the profitability of your business and simulate different behaviours depending on production levels or prices per unit.

In this sense, to calculate the profitability of your business you need the figure of economic benefit that is equal to the income minus the non-financial costs, that is, all except financial interests or taxes. The total asset is the group of assets of the company and collection rights.

If you need to have more control of your bookkeeping and finances, here at Nudge Accounting you will find a professional team to help you lower expenses in possible mistakes your current finance plan may have. It is essential that you update your processes in order to expose your business in a way that is appealing for people and make it go head to head with other businesses that are your competitors and ensure success in the long-term.

Choose a date. Yes, this is the first thing you have to decide, when you want to get married. And you know that it will not be worth anyone.

How will your ceremony be? Another of the fundamental things to prepare a wedding, civil or religious?

Place of the banquet. The good thing about this part is that you will taste delicacies from many places until you find the combination that fits you.

Make the guest list. A piece of advice, define a limit; then you can always surpass it.

Set a budget It is not the most important thing, but it is necessary to have an orientated one. We have been in beautiful weddings with little budget and horrible millionaires. Imagination and love multiply.

  1. The ceremony, religious or civil?

At this point in life and more if you have made the decision to marry you already know what kind of ceremony you are going to do.

Because you already know a little bit, right?

In any case and whatever you may have to know the procedures that must be carried out for both a religious wedding or a civil wedding. By the way, have you chosen godparents and bridesmaids?

It is time to cross out in your checklist who will accompany you on this day.

Remember:

  • Review the legal procedures to perform the wedding.
  • Rings are very important.
  • The decoration. We think it has to go according to how you are as a couple, think about what unites you and also what makes you different so that the decoration carries your essence.
  1. The banquet

The people who will go to your wedding love you and will love you. But we’re not sure if they’ll love you more if you give them good food. Food at weddings (like music) is fundamental. It has to be up to it. Take your time and try all the alternatives you can.

Once you have decided the menu; it’s time to decide the decoration, the centrepieces or the candy bar.

  1. It’s time to choose the suppliers

We’ve already anticipated in the previous point that music is one of the key elements in a wedding. A bad musical experience can ruin a wedding. And we do not mean just the music of the cups; but the ambient music at the banquet. A good alternative to find the right music is surfing Spotify. They have a lot of music lists for weddings like yours.

We remind you of some others:

  • Catering for the cocktail. It is very important to find a catering for weddings, specialised and serious.
  • Music (We recommend a live band).
  • Find a photographer.

  1. If you are the groom

We’re not going to discover anything, you have to be impeccable, but you know who the queen of the ceremony is. In any case, check that at least your suit, your watch, and your shoes meet the expectation.

  1. If you are the bride

First, relax. This day is a day for you to enjoy, not for you to be aware of everyone and suffer. Enjoy the people who accompany you, attentive but without falling into perfectionism, because then you will lose everything.

What do you have to cross off the list?

  • Wedding dress (complicated part, but magical when you have it).
  • Someone will give them to you, surely your friends.
  • It is a very given complement to be a familiar object, nice, no?
  1. Honeymoon

When you debate about the type of honeymoon you want, think about if you fancy a romantic or adventurous or cosmopolitan trip, for example. And then you are deciding whether beach, mountain or just asphalt.

Anyway, you can always look online to discover destinations and combinations for your honeymoon. For example, how about New York? It is always a great option. Or …, the Maldives and Africa, honeymoon combined? Take a look at the best proposals online.

Review the following:

  • Dates
  • And you want to discover the world!
  1. Finishing details

Many of these last brushstrokes will depend on the type of wedding you want. At this point of our wedding list we will consider things such as the accommodation of the guests, the transportation, the seating plan or the gifts for the guests. You will be tired of solving all of the above, but it is the moment, without a doubt, to bring out your good taste and surprise them all.

Remember planning a wedding is a delicate task, with our online wedding planner you can easily achieve the wedding you have always wanted.

Make-up for professional photo session

We already know that during the holidays, selfies and photos abound in family, with friends, and in a party. As we want you to always be perfect, we have prepared the definitive makeup guide to get an infallible look in front of the camera (whatever time it is). It is designed for professional photography sessions, and if they work in magazines imagine what they can do in instagram or any other platform.

Choosing the most successful makeup to be in front of a camera does not consist of putting on makeup or putting on very bright colours. It’s about understanding what the camera is going to look like and how it’s going to portray it. Choose the right tone, accentuate areas properly and get shine from the inside out. That is the key.

Remember that for excellent wedding photo sessions you can contact us here at Fuss Photography and we´ll be happy to help you.

Do not try new haircuts before a photo session

The best way to make a look yours is to give it a little time. Do not try new hair dyes or cuts just before taking pictures. Let it become a part of you, give it a couple of weeks and you will prevent the camera from picking up any small insecurity you have in front of your new look.

Do not shave or try any skin abrasive treatment just before taking pictures. They can cause redness.

You have many makeup resources online but the makeup is to highlight and its function is not to hide a bigger problem. Eat well, drink lots of water and rest. There is no skin more beautiful and radiant than that which is healthy.

The effects of stress and fatigue appear on the skin as redness or dark areas. A professional makeup artist can hide them for a while but there is nothing like a diet rich in vitamins and minerals. They will help you keep your hair and your skin nourished, fresh and luminous.

Eyelashes with frizz

These rebellious little hairs divert attention a lot in a photo and generate an unflattering halo. With a good anti-frizz gel, you have it solved in a jiffy.

Prepare your skin. Hydrate!

A clean and hydrated skin is the perfect canvas to start working. The camera will notice dry skin and also fat. Clean your skin, apply the moisturiser, let it absorb and then add the first layer. The first layer will ensure that your skin does not absorb makeup. You also should apply makeup on your eyes first.

Use a base without FPS

Sun protection on certain bases provides a whitish result on the skin. The base melts well especially at the base of the hair and in the jaws, the camera sees more and better than us and usually takes very well the lines of demarcation of makeup. If you are worried about the sun you can choose some translucent powders with sun protection.

Note: It is good to protect yourself from the sun, remember that these tips are designed for a professional photo session.

Keep the brightness at bay

The brightness distracts a lot, especially in HD. In the still photos, the flashes will emphasise the brightness and changes of colour tone.  Have a blotter paper nearby for between photo and photo. Use bases and correctors that diffuse light. Choose natural matte shades.

Use a bright tone in specific areas

A little bright white eyeshadow or champagne in the inner corners of the eyes will brighten and enlarge your eyes. A well-applied shine can be a great ally in the bridge of the nose, in the cupid’s arc and in the upper area of the cheekbones.

In general, the pearlescent shine does not work well in the camera. Both bronzers and blushers should be matt.

Value your natural beauty. Choose the correct shadows

In the face:

Your bronzer should be only one point darker than your skin tone. If you pass, it will look orange and it will not look good. And a softer and meatier tone for the cheeks. Use a little more than normal for the camera to pick up.

In the eyes:

The eyes define the character. They draw attention and say a lot about you. Choose matte colours with neutral tones. You want people to notice your eyes and not your makeup. Think soft tones: Beige, brown, soft pink or peach tones. The one you want, but soft.

Do not go over dark in the eyebrows, it will increase your age and it will take too much attention towards them. But the eyebrows project youth and frame the eyes. Fill them with a colour that matches your natural tone.

For your lips:

Do not wear a lipstick that is too dark. It’s going to get old. And the nude lips disappear in the chamber. Delineate them in the same tone or in one a lighter point than your lipstick colour.

A touch of shine can make your teeth look lighter. But do not pass or it will be loud on the camera.

Try shading with a matte bronzer, lightly bite your cheeks and shade the bottom. Now smile and apply the rouge on the apples of your cheeks. Give it another pass with your blush to balance with your eyes and your lips on camera. You just have to make sure you mix well.

Use a liquid eyeliner for your upper eyelid, using a soft black, charcoal or brown colour

Mix well and maintain a uniform tone.

Each step you take in your makeup remember: Mix, mix, mix and mix it well. (Do not confuse with messing everything up). The demarcation lines is more evident in photos than in real life so make sure there are not.

Remember that if you need a team of professionals to assist you with photos of a special event, here at Fuss Photography we’ll be happy to help you.

How to include exercise in your daily life

Now that you know several types of physical activity and have set your goals, you are ready to start! This chapter has tips to help you start your program, resume your activities if you have had to interrupt them, stay active and over time, to increase the level of activity.

Here at Push the Tempo you will find professionals ready to create a workout plan to complement a wonderful vacation in the country enjoying natural air and peace only nature can provide.

Include physical activity in your daily life

To produce benefits, it is necessary that physical activity be a continuous and permanent habit. Again, the key word is you. To ensure success from the start, choose activities you like, exercise wisely, keep track of your progress to see the level of your achievements, and establish an activity routine that matches your personal lifestyle. Here are several ways to make physical activity a normal part of your daily life.

Make it a priority. Many of us have busy lives and it is easy to put physical activity at the bottom of the “list” of things we have to do. However, remember: staying active is one of the most important things you can do on a daily basis to maintain and improve your health. Include physical activities throughout your day. Try to do some physical activity early in the morning, before you start your busy day. Think about the time you have to exercise as if it were a special appointment and mark it on the calendar.

Make it easy. You are more likely to do exercises if they are easy to do. Place the 2-pound dumbbells on par with your favourite chair so you can do some lifting exercises while watching TV. Walk back and forth the soccer field during your grandchild’s game. Walk around the mall or all the aisles of the supermarket when you go shopping. When you go to pick up the mail, go around the block. Become a member of a gym near your home. Do more of the activities you currently like and know how to do. Older adults in a group exercise class

Make it a social activity. Invite a friend or relative to participate in this project. Many people recognise that having an “exercise partner” helps them stay in the physical activity program. If you still do not have an exercise partner, try joining a walking club at your local shopping centre or an exercise class at a nearby senior centre. Take a walk at lunch with a co-worker.

Make it interesting and fun. Do the things you enjoy and increase the level of effort. If you love being outdoors, try biking, fishing, jogging or hiking. While you are walking or working in the garden, listen to a compact disc containing music or reading a book.

Above all, make it an active decision. Take advantage of the opportunities. Choose to do activities in various places and in several ways:

  • When you are unpacking supermarket groceries, strengthen your arms by lifting the carton of milk or a 1-pound can several times before storing them.
  • When shopping, develop your stamina by parking the car in the far part of the parking lot and then walking quickly to the store. Or get off the bus one or two stops before your usual stop.
  • Instead of calling or emailing a colleague at work, go see him in person and use the stairs!
  • Go up and down the stairs of your house a few more times to strengthen your legs and develop resistance.
  • Try to do some of your errands on foot instead of using the car.
  • Do several things at once to stay active:
  • When you are in line waiting, practice your balance skills by standing with one foot for a few seconds and then doing the same with the other foot. Gradually increase the amount of time on each foot.
  • When you are talking on the phone, stand up and do a few leg lifts or stand on tiptoe to strengthen your legs.
  • When you are waiting for the coffee to be ready or for your spouse to finish getting ready to go out, do a few push-ups against the wall or a few stretches of the calves.

Try to do all four types of exercises

Most people tend to focus on an activity or type of exercise and think they are doing enough. The goal is to be creative and choose exercises from each of the four types we have mentioned: resistance, strengthening, balance and flexibility. Combine them will help you get the benefits of each type of exercise and also reduce the monotony and risk of injury. You can use the weekly Plan of exercises and physical activities to record your activities.

If you lift weights, alternate these exercises by walking on the treadmill or using an immobile bicycle. Finish your routine by doing stretching exercises.

If you focus primarily on endurance activities, be sure to add stretching, balancing or strengthening exercises to your routine. If you want to do strengthening exercises every day, alternate groups of muscles or exercise all the muscles of a group every two days. See the weekly Plan of exercises and physical activities.

Prepare for interruptions in your routine

Aging can mean more time to travel and visit children and grandchildren or spend vacations outside of where you live. People retire and seek to live in new homes or even in different parts of the country. Sometimes unexpected things happen; For example, someone in the family gets sick and you assume the responsibility of caring for that person, or a loved one dies. All of these events can interrupt your physical activity routine.

These interruptions can make it difficult and even impossible to maintain your usual activities. But it can start again. Here are some ideas to help you stay active or start over if you have had to interrupt your routine.

  • Do not be too hard on yourself. There will be periods when you do not want to do exercises or feel that it is very difficult to do them. You are not the only one; We all feel that way from time to time. But try to return to your activities as soon as possible. The sooner you return to do some activity, the better you feel and the easier it will be to resume the routine.
  • Talk with your doctor about when you can resume your usual routine if you have stopped exercising due to illness or new symptoms.
  • Think about the reasons why you started exercising and the goals you set. Remembering your motives and appreciating how much you have accomplished can help you recharge your batteries and start over.
  • Ask your relatives and friends to help you. Sometimes, you may want to have an exercise partner; other times, maybe all you need to do is listen to some words of encouragement.

What is SEO and why do we need it?

Where does the term SEO (Search Engine Optimization) come from?

The first search engines emerged in the early 90s. Until Google appeared in 1996 many were created, including Yahoo. The Web boom began. People realized that you could really make money with them. So, they came to the conclusion that they needed to attract traffic. What was the best method of attracting traffic? The search engines. At that time the owners of the webs began to think how they could reach the first positions … The SEO was born!

If you want to know more about excellent services to position your website higher on google search results list, here at Website Connection you’ll find it.

SEO is one of the “disciplines” that has changed the most in recent years. We just have to look at the large number of updates that have been Penguin and Panda, and how they have turned 180 degrees to what was understood by SEO until recently.

Although there are thousands of factors in which a search engine is based to position one page or another one could say that there are two basic factors: authority and relevance

The authority is basically the popularity of a website. The more popular the information, the more valuable it is. This factor is what a search engine takes more into account since it is based on the user’s own experience. The more a content is shared, the more users have found it useful.

Relevance is the relationship a page has with a given search. This is not simply that a page contains a lot of times the term sought (in the beginning it was like that) but a search engine is based on hundreds of on-site factors to determine this.

SEO can be divided into two large groups

On-site: SEO on-site worries about relevance. It ensures that the web is optimized so that the search engine understands the main thing, which is the content of it. Within SEO On-site we would include keyword optimization, loading time, user experience, code optimization and format of URLs.

Off-site: SEO off-site is the part of SEO work that focuses on factors external to the website where we work. The most important factors in off-site SEO are the number and quality of the links, presence in social networks, mentions in local media, brand authority and performance in the search results, that is, the CTR that our results in a search engine. Sure, you are thinking that all this is very good and that it is very interesting but that you are here to know why you need SEO on your website and what benefits you will get if you integrate it into your online strategy.

Once we know what SEO is, we must differentiate whether or not we follow the “recommendations” of the search engine.

Black Hat SEO or White Hat SEO

Black Hat SEO: Black hat is the attempt to improve the search engine positioning of a web page using unethical techniques or that contradict the guidelines of the search engine. Some examples of Black Hat SEO are Cloaking, Spinning, SPAM in forums and blog comments, or Keyword Stuffing. The black hat can provide benefits in the short term, but it is generally a risky strategy, without continuity in the long term and that does not add value.

White Hat SEO: Consists of all ethically correct actions that meet the guidelines of search engines to position a web page and search results. Since search engines give greater importance to the pages that best respond to a user’s search, White Hat understands the techniques that seek to make a search engine page more relevant by providing value to its users.

Why is SEO important?

The most important reason why SEO is necessary is because it makes your website more useful for both users and search engines. Although these can not yet see a web page as a human does. SEO is necessary to help search engines understand what each page is about and whether or not it is useful for users.

For instance, we have an electronic commerce dedicated to the sale of children’s books. Well, for the term “colouring pages” there are about 673,000 searches per month. Assuming that the first result that appears after doing a Google search gets 22% of clicks (CTR = 22%), we would get about 148,000 visits per month.

SEO is the best way for your users to find you through searches in which your website is relevant. These users look for what you offer them. The best way to reach them is through a search engine.

How do search engines work?

The operation of a search engine can be summarized in two steps: tracking and indexing.

Tracking

A search engine crawls the web crawling with what are called bots. These scroll through all the pages through the links. Hence the importance of a good link structure. As any user would do when browsing the content of the Web, they pass from one link to another and collect data about those web pages that they provide to their servers.

The crawling process begins with a list of web addresses of previous crawls and sitemaps provided by other web pages. Once they access these webs, the bots look for links to other pages to visit them. The bots are especially attracted to new sites and to changes in existing webs.

It is the bots themselves that decide which pages to visit, how often and how long they will crawl that web, that’s why it’s important to have an optimal loading time and updated content.

It is very common that in a web page you need to restrict the tracking of some pages or certain content to avoid that they appear in the search results. For this you can tell search engine bots not to crawl certain pages through the “robots.txt” file.

Indexing

Once a bot has crawled a web and collected the necessary information, these pages are included in an index. There they are ordered according to their content, their authority and their relevance. In this way, when we make a query to the search engine it will be much easier to show us the results that are more related to our query.

At first the search engines were based on the number of times a word was repeated. When doing a search, they tracked those terms in their index to find which pages they had in their texts, positioning better the one that had repeated it more times. Currently, they are more sophisticated and base their indexes on hundreds of various aspects. The date of publication, if they contain images, videos or animations, microformats, etc. they are some of those aspects. Now they give more priority to the quality of the content.

Where is online marketing going in the future?

During the next year and the following, the approaches in online marketing for company management should be directed, above all, to the technological innovations that are appearing. The trends in online marketing in 2018 can already be seen, and we can talk about some of the most striking.

If you want to create your online store or website and need more information, contact us here.

Five proposals for online marketing in the future

Quality content, content marketing

Taking into account the contents of the websites for different advertising strategies is essential. But, also, for some time, the quality of these contents is an essential key.

If we limit ourselves only to create content “because we have to do it” since it is marked by the calendar, we may not be completely satisfied with the result. In 2018, the quality of the contents will be much more important.

Therefore, we must focus on the content and its quality. Quality before quantity. This will make the difference. If we focus on creating really useful information for interested readers, we will be able to stand out from the competition much more easily.

Searches by voice and audio online

Although voice searches have not yet been established as “the most used platform”, more and more people are searching for voice. The rise of systems such as Google Home or Amazon Echo has made it essential to focus our marketing strategies towards voice search.

Similarly, although video is still the king of content that includes audio, podcasts have advantages over video. The main advantage is that, the person who listens, can at the same time perform other tasks.

If we want to succeed in online marketing, pay close attention to the “auditory” part of the audience.

Influencer marketing

Influencers have more and more presence in the advertising world. These people who “influence” consumers are an excellent way to reach the potential customer in a subtle way. They are what we have always called “opinion leaders”.

Unlike a “prescriber” an influencer or opinion leader does not have to know anything of what they recommend. They are simply admired and, therefore, imitated.

Word of mouth, taken to the consumer through the influencers, can have very striking results in our sales. It is advisable to take into account this type of advertising when creating our communication strategies.

Mobile phones

The mobile phone has become the main device from which people seek information. Therefore, adapting to the small screen of the smartphone has become more important than ever.

How many times have we accessed a website from the mobile that is not seen correctly on our device? Most of the times this happens, we just close and look for another website that is responsive. Focusing the creation of our website and our content on the visualization on mobile devices will make a difference.

Whatever our strategy, if a user of our website does not have a good experience on his smartphone, we will be throwing time and money in the trash.

The visual experience

Following the line of the previous trend, each time the websites need to be more visual. Although a few years ago we found that most of the websites were based on text, and more text; currently the most visual websites are the ones that are gaining the advantage.

Offline vs Online

Definitely everything points to companies, small businesses and independent people increasingly have to integrate more with virtual media to increase their customers.

Younger people are the argument for this concept, although it may seem extreme, many of them only use the Internet for any circumstance of their lives, such as asking for an address, booking a ticket to the cinema, paying a university tuition, answering an exam, plan an exit, take a romantic relationship or just listen to music.

A useful element that is part of the trend and that helps take advantage of local businesses that kind of circumstances is the geolocation through search engine advertising, something that has been developing Google with great force and which is focused on showing results of agreement to the place where the user is.

If the client used to be right… now they have the power!

The interaction with the client is the pillar, sociability is the current route to gain the love of the user. There is no large or small company on the Internet, there are companies that respond to requests and provide better products and services to the user. It is no longer who follows the company, but the company that should follow their customers to know what they want and how to please them.

There is talk of a new way of doing business, very different from the traditional way, where the approach is 80% relational and 20% transactional.

The new leading segment

A website of great quality, design, speed and high conversion without format for mobile devices simply will not work! You will be losing more than half of the effective visits that you might get to interact, share or buy.

Having a site adapted for a Smartphone in some content managers such as wordpress is as simple as installing a plugin, which leaves no excuses to anyone!

Construction of digital assets

This is a concept that is already in fashion and is the Big Data, which aims to collect data, from digital marketing, focused on users.

A clear example of the subject is a company that creates a free application for smartphones in order to capture personal information of users and identify consumer trends, which can become an asset when these data are focused on a specific sector and then be offered.

These are some trends in which, as we said before, several people and blogs that talk about Digital Marketing agreed and where you can clearly see the arguments to predict that near future.

Consider each one of them will surely be the difference between the success and failure of many projects that are added daily on the Internet. Remember that here at Website Connection we can help you set up your online store and improve your sales volume considerably.

Ibuprofen, diclofenac and other anti-inflammatories, which one is better and when to take them?

Do you know how and when you should consume ibuprofen or diclofenac and in what situations should you not do so? What is the best anti-inflammatory? In this post we talk about your administration guidelines and I give you my recommendations on its use to relieve pain and inflammation.

Ibuprofen, diclofenac and other anti-inflammatories, which is better and when to take them? Ibuprofen is an NSAID with commercial names such as espidifén, dalsy or neobrufén. Surely you know about ibuprofen: it is one of the most used medicines to treat pain and inflammation.

Or as it is also said colloquially, this medication is used to reduce inflammation, to reduce pain and reduce fever. But perhaps you have heard some news warning about the possible contraindications that may have prolonged use. Is ibuprofen really so harmful and should its use be more regulated?

Contact true professionals with years of experience that can help you keep your health status untouched.

What other drugs can you use if you cannot or do not want to take it?

The subject seemed to me a good excuse to talk about non-steroidal anti-inflammatories and analgesics in general, which is the group of medicines where ibuprofen is framed. And so, explain what its best use should be to relieve muscle aches, bumps and swollen tissues in general,

If you are a young person and you use it after an injury or if you are something older and you use it regularly for osteoarthritis or back pain. Keep reading because we’re going to tell you:

  • How an anti-inflammatory works
  • What are they for
  • Commercial names of recommended anti-inflammatories
  • And in which cases you should not take this medication
  • How do NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) work?

Basically, the anti-inflammatories also called NSAIDs act by blocking that chemical pathway.

That is to say, these medicines help to reduce inflammation your tissues.

The problem is that they also regulate other mechanisms such as:

  • The flow of blood to certain organs (such as the kidney)
  • The manufacture of the mucous layer that protects the stomach from the acid that it produces (hence the problems of gastritis or ulcer that can cause)
  • And they also block the function of platelets in blood clotting. In fact, some of them, such as acetylsalicylic acid, are used to improve circulation.
  • “As you can see the anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic action (to lower fever) produced by analgesics can also be accompanied by other effects”
  • And they can be serious if you abuse them.

As pharmaceutical research progresses, new anti-inflammatory drugs have been designed that, while maintaining their effect, do not alter the functions that we have just indicated.

That is to say:

  • They are more harmless to your stomach
  • They do not impact so much on the kidney
  • And they are not so dangerous for circulation

The reason?

  • They just block the chemical pathway in tissues that are inflamed.
  • Ibuprofen specifically belongs to the “old” NSAIDs.
  • It has a trajectory in which the safety of use in multiple areas has been proven.
  • But like any other medication, it is not free of complications if you do not use it properly.

Ibuprofen: dosage and administration guidelines

As you already know, ibuprofen usually comes in a dose of 600 mg (400 mg for children over 40 kg) and you can buy it in pill form or in envelopes even in online pharmacies.

The guideline is usually to take a pill or packet every 8 hours in order to relieve pain of many types:

  • Headache
  • Heel pain
  • Period pains
  • Pain after a blow
  • Muscle pains
  • Fever and inflammation in children

But beware, that below we indicate some restrictions that you must take into account regarding its use.

When you should NOT take ibuprofen or anti-inflammatories in general

If you are in one of these groups, be very careful about its use:

If you are allergic:

  • There are often people who are allergic to this group of medicines.
  • Although the most widespread is the allergy to nolotil. That despite being an analgesic, does not belong to the group of anti-inflammatories.

If you have any cardiac problem or background of brain infarction:

  • Not that they are absolutely forbidden, but diclofenac and ibuprofen are not recommended if you have serious heart or cerebrovascular disease.
  • If it is your case it is better that you take naproxen. Or if you have many risk factors, use other analgesics.

If you suffer renal insufficiency:

  • If you suffer from mild renal insufficiency, you can take them with caution.
  • But if it is serious it is preferable that you use other options.

If you have gastric problems as gastritis or ulcers in the stomach:

  • If you are taking any type of anti-inflammatory you should always take a gastric protector (such as omeprazole).
  • Except in these cases: if you are young and you are going to take it only a short period of time, due to a sprain or a contusion.

If for chronic pain you have to take them for a long time:

If it is your case, it is very important to have a doctor supervise you for several reasons:

  • So that the anti-inflammatory does not interfere with your previous medication
  • To monitor that your kidney is not harmed
  • To protect your stomach
  • If you do not present risk factors or diseases for which it is better to treat the pain with other types of analgesics such as paracetamol, nolotil or derivatives of morphine.

Are there then reasons to limit the use of ibuprofen?

In my opinion, there may be people who take ibuprofen pills too lightly in the face of any muscle pain and this may cause some problem.

For this reason, you should consult your doctor if you find yourself in some of the situations that we have described in the previous point.

6 key points about sensitive teeth: Causes, prevention and treatment

Do you sometimes feel pain in your teeth when you are enjoying an ice cream? You’re not alone! One of the most frequent complaints of patients when they visit the dentist is tooth sensitivity. What’s more, one in 8 adults suffers from tooth sensitivity on a regular basis. There are a number of factors that can cause the teeth to become sensitive. Find out about the 6 key points that have to do with the causes, symptoms and how you can prevent symptoms of tooth sensitivity.

Remember that here at Parkwood Green Dental you will find a team of expert professionals willing to help you and ensure you feel well.

  1. What causes tooth sensitivity?

In general, the sensitivity in all teeth or at least most of them, is due to the enamel weakening or the exposure of the roots of the teeth. If the sensitivity comes from a specific tooth, this may mean that the tooth has a crack, fracture or tooth erosion. Dental sensitivity can also lead to a treatment such as a crown or fillings, or a restoration that becomes fragmented, loosened or lost.

The most common cause for which people suffer from tooth sensitivity is the disease of the gums or retracted gums, both leave the surface of the root exposed. Furthermore, activities such as brushing the teeth aggressively or eating acidic foods can weaken the enamel and cause sensitivity. The grinding of the teeth (bruxism) also wears the surface of the tooth and enamel. Teeth whitening is another common cause of sensitivity as the whitening product can affect the dentin of the tooth and cause the recession of the gums.

  1. Why do teeth suddenly become sensitive?

There are several causes why the teeth become sensitive “suddenly”, beginning by understanding if the sensitivity is arising from a tooth or several. When sensibility appears out of nowhere, the point of origin defines the cause and treatment for this type of sensation.

Professional or commercial teeth whitening procedures are one of the main causes of tooth sensitivity. A lost or fragmented filling or crown can cause instantaneous tooth sensitivity. The level of sensitivity that appears suddenly can also be caused by stress or the clenching or grinding of the teeth. The pressure caused by sinusitis has also been linked to tooth sensitivity. Also, changes in diet, for example, drinking more soda or coffee for a period of time, can affect tooth enamel.

  1. Dental sensitivity to hot or cold

Often the teeth will feel normal until you get to eat or drink something hot or cold, during which you will feel a painful or throbbing sensation through the teeth. Sensitivity to both cold and hot temperatures is common and can occur when the tooth enamel becomes thin so that the dentin inside the tooth ends up being exposed. A loose filling or crown can also create tooth sensitivity. The use of a gel for tooth sensitivity or other special products can alleviate this sensation.

  1. How to whiten sensitive teeth?

Is it possible to whiten sensitive teeth? Yes, but very carefully. Bleaching products can cause temporary sensitivity in the teeth. Applying a gel for sensitive teeth can help relieve discomfort. While you are using bleaching products avoid sugary, acidic or coloured foods and drinks as the enamel is in a state of risk. Furthermore, always follow the proper instructions while using any bleach product at home and make sure you do not overuse the use of products that do not require a prescription. Consult your dentist in your next visit and ask him about the use of bleaching products, he can create a whitening tray to suit you or he can recommend a whitening product that is not so abrasive and that goes according to your oral hygiene.

  1. Sensitive teeth and brackets

Many people who use braces may feel sensitivity or discomfort after the dentist adjusts braces, however, this feeling should disappear after a few days. Continuous pain or sensitivity while using braces can be a sign that you are not brushing your teeth properly. The brackets can cause thinning of the enamel or the edge of the gums when you are not brushing carefully around them and in particular, the posterior molars. Other signs that you are not brushing well include bad breath, bleeding gums or an unexplained toothache. Check with your orthodontist if you feel sensitivity or other symptoms that continue after a few days.

  1. How to treat sensitive teeth

Diagnosing the cause is the only way to treat the symptoms properly. Your dentist will help you determine the cause of the sensitivity through an exam and x-rays. If you are experiencing sensitivity to a problem on the surface of the teeth, for example, consuming excessive acidic foods and drinks or using bleaching products, you may be advised to stop doing it little by little.

The treatment to avoid clenching and grinding of the teeth may vary. Consuming high levels of caffeine can cause contraction and cracking, so your dentist may advise you to reduce your stimulant intake. Techniques to manage stress, for example, breathing, therapies, yoga or meditation can help alleviate physical manifestations of stress (such as teeth grinding). Wearing a mouth guard at night can help reduce the impact and protect the surface of teeth from grinding.

To treat the symptoms of gum disease or receding gums first it is necessary to eliminate any infection in the gums. A deep dental cleaning, consisting of scaling and root planning, eliminates the accumulation of dental plaque and tartar around the edge of the gums. In severe cases of infection, the dentist may also prescribe antibiotics. Gum grafting is a procedure that replaces the loss of gum tissue, as this tissue will not regenerate naturally once it has been lost.

There are numerous mouthwashes and toothpastes that do not need a prescription and others with a prescription, which relieve the teeth whitening sensation.

Bear in mind that the lack of proper hygiene can cause tooth erosion and increase the risk of decay, gingivitis and even periodontal disease that translate to sensitivity. For this reason, professional dentists from Parkwood Green Dental are the most efficient option

The lingerie for your wedding day

The lingerie for a bride is a theme that has not been there if you are planning your wedding. There is a wide variety of lingerie, from panties, culottes or bras, but on this blog, we are going to focus exclusively on the latter: bras for brides.

It is very important on this day to find the right piece, since our comfort will depend on it. But besides being comfortable, we have to go beautiful, and especially the dress, like the lingerie that we wear below, will help us feel beautiful.

For this, we are going to give you some tips so that you can choose correctly the bra you need.

What will set the tone for choosing the bra, will be the wedding dress. We have to bear in mind:

  • The neckline, front and back
  • The fitted of the wedding dress
  • The fabric on which it is designed

In case the wedding dress is smooth and with a high neck or straight neckline, the idea is to choose a bra in turn smooth, in this way, we avoid that the embroidery of the bra is seen through the dress.

If, on the contrary, the dress is a word of honour, it is recommended that the bridal bra is strapless but better with push-up, since what interests us is that it enhances the chest. In this case, it is best to try this piece of lingerie very well, since there are a large number of fastener models without straps and not all adapt equally well to the bust of each.

Remember that if you want to buy new sets of underwear, here at Mary’s Secret Boutique you will find them.

Showing off your lingerie

Showing off your lingerie is nowadays more fashionable than ever. According to the experts we will have to forget to refer to these pieces as underwear since they are becoming more important in our outfit. This year, lingerie again goes abroad to become the star piece of a look that can be risky but elegant. The lace takes all the prominence and looks through the neckline of shirts or is transparent through shirts that leave our most intimate garments exposed.

Check our top catalogue and choose a beautiful piece for your body.

Fine fabrics come out during the day and reveal women’s underwear. This means that nothing can be left to chance in this aspect: play it with the lace (very present in the latest collections by Michael Kors or Cavalli), the bralette and coloured clips that enhance the transparencies and suit our skin colour.

But the tendency to wear lingerie out does not end here. If last year, lingerie shirts became essential under an American, his reign has given way to bodies and bodices that have been placed the crown of essentials for this 2018. Whether in the company of a Palazzo trousers, with a high-waisted skirt or with casual pants, bodices get glamor to the simplest look, also giving the risky point.

And is that the corset has also returned, but this time to stay, and it does as a top or belt to accompany a lack or pants. We have seen magazine covers and the best top in the world, walking with a white basic short sleeve shirt and this garment above, dressing in a sensual and elegant to the most basic garment that you can have. The corset, which centuries ago was a symbol of femininity and at the beginning of the twentieth century became synonymous with oppression for women, becomes stronger than ever to give personality a look and to reinforce more the fashion of overlap.

Here at Mary’s Secret Boutique you can easily place your order for a couple of deluxe garments and they will be delivered to your house.

Basic care for the neck and neckline to look amazing with your new underwear

The neckline is one of the most sensual areas of the body and also more vulnerable. Facing these parties is time to show off neck and neckline dresses come to parties and get beautiful on the inside with sexy lingerie. Taking good care of this delicate skin is the only way to stop ageing and preserve its beauty. The latest cosmetics and simple exercises make it possible. You also need to wear excellent underwear to look great.

Both the neck and the neckline have a thinner skin, with fewer sebaceous glands and less amount of adipose and connective tissue. These characteristics favour the rapid appearance of wrinkles and sagging. The lines that appear on the neck are known as collar wrinkles, while the drop that occurs due to the loss of firmness of the tissues gives rise to what is known as the turkey neck. Also, the double chin or jowl find the ideal place to settle under the chin with the consequent loss of definition of the facial oval. On the other hand, the low level of melanin in the skin of this area favours the appearance of spots since its defensive capacity towards ultraviolet radiation is lower. To avoid these problems and keep the skin smooth and hydrated, it is necessary to pay more attention to these forgotten areas.

Despite its fragility, the skin of the neck and neckline responds very well to the aesthetic treatments that are dedicated to it. As a daily cosmetic care, it is important to remove the area with delicate products that do not dry out the skin and the application of specific products from the chin to the birth of the breasts, which will help to keep the skin soft, smooth and beautiful. As a precautionary measure it is essential to protect the skin whenever it is exposed to the sun to avoid the appearance of spots. If these have already arisen it is time to start a clarifying treatment to erase them. A gentle weekly exfoliation and the application of moisturising, anti-wrinkle or depigmenting masks, as the case may be, will complete the care at home.

Choosing the right set of underwear is also very important. Visit our online store and get your set of selected underwear here at Mary’s Secret Boutique.

10 sensational aluminium venetian blinds

External blinds in Sydney are a classic for a long time. When they emerged, they revolutionised the decoration and the way of dressing the windows. Nowadays, new proposals are circulating in terms of design, colours, shapes and ways of placing them. Its mechanism of horizontal slats is super practical and allows you to filter the natural light that enters the rooms through the window in two different ways: one is collecting the blind upwards to the point you want and the other way is, that you can modulate the light by manipulating the slats, without having to lift it, all this is achieved by just pulling on a rope.

Here at External Venetian Blinds you will find top quality external shade blinds that you can use in your house or business.

Currently, the variety of designs and materials offer you a wide range of possibilities in the decoration. External venetian blinds in Sydney are made with different materials, but the most common are wood, vinyl and aluminium. In this book of ideas, we share ten spectacular designs.

  1. Light shining

The slats of an external aluminium louvres may have different thicknesses that we can choose depending on the level of light we want. For example, in the photograph we can see that blinds with thick slats are used to cover the windows, which allow a greater opening to obtain more lighting in the room, without needing to discover the window. In this way we can have a well-lit space and show the blind. The luminosity is accentuated both with the white colour of the external aluminium louvres, as with the furniture and accessories, also in white. The result is a space with a very comfortable atmosphere, with an elegant look.

  1. Light and shadow

The mechanism that external venetian blinds in Sydney possess allows to make variations in light and maintain certain temperatures to generate different atmospheres. We can verify this with the example we have in the photograph. In this room three blinds with thinner slats are used. While one is kept closed, the other two are slightly open, creating an effect of light and shadow in the room. In this way we can get illuminated a part of the room and keep another part dark where rest or privacy is required. On the other hand, the design of the aluminium venetian blinds, made of wood, gives a sophisticated touch to the room decorated in modern style.

  1. Combination

Another resource to vary the filtration of light and decoration in our rooms is by making combinations in the position that we give to the external shade blinds we use. You can form a figure of light boxes. A very interesting and original design that gives us a very cool decoration.

  1. Colour makes the difference

In a small space design, we can see how a small blind with thin slats enhances the decor of the room. The key is its yellow colour and the shadow effect it produces. On the other hand, its texture is lighter and adapts well to the space of eclectic style with which the space is decorated. External shade blinds is an excellent choice.

  1. In a vibrant colour and with picture effect

Despite its compact structure, this blind looks very attractive with red slats and white frames. However, what makes it stand out is its position in the middle of the window, revealing the upper and lower part of the window where you can see the attractive exterior panorama. With this position, the window takes a picture perspective, giving it a fresh and original touch.

  1. Resistant

Another advantage we can find in Venetian blinds is the resistance of their materials. In this way, in addition to their functions of regulating light and sun, as well as decorative, they can also protect us from the climatic effects. A notable example are external shade blinds made of metal and with a robust structure, this blind has enough resistance to contain heavy rain, wind or intense heat. They are ideal for country houses or homes located near the coast.

  1. Sun bath

In addition to light, the blinds allow us to control the temperature, so if we have a wide opening external venetian blinds in Sydney, we can give a good sunbath to our room in the morning, and as the temperature goes up, to raise the inclination of the slats to protect us from the heat, without impeding the circulation of air that refreshes us.

  1. A unique design

Commonly, aluminium venetian blinds have an attractive design that does not vary much except in colour and size. But in this case, the designer ventured to put a little more shape to this blind, achieving an attractive and innovative model. The shape of this blind, which also has a roller system to lift it, allows a wide opening to light. While its design breaks with the standard and achieve a different lighting effect. Its design does not allow a total closure, but we can incorporate fabric curtains, which also enriches the decor.

  1. Doors with shutters

In addition to the windows, external blind in Sydney can also decorate glass doors to regulate the flow of light and provide privacy. In this case the blind also helps us to enhance the decoration of the rooms, according to the material, colour and texture chosen, modifying the environment of your space.

Despite its strength, aluminium is a flexible and lightweight metal. That way, we can place aluminium blinds in any space. In small or large windows, they are easy to place. Besides its malleability allows to diversify the design. Aluminium external window louvres can be horizontal or vertical or in one piece.

  1. Maximum protection

One of the great benefits of aluminium blinds is the protection against adverse weather conditions. It is during these times that climate disasters are recorded constantly, that is a huge advantage. Especially if we live in places where we are exposed to these climatic changes, such as the sea or the mountains. In fact, we can buy or send aluminium security blinds. This type of external aluminium blinds are made with high quality extruded aluminium, which provide greater waterproofing and wind resistance. In addition, they also protect us against theft.

  1. Create comfortable environments

Aluminium external retractable blinds are ideal for homes located in areas of extreme climates because they have thermal properties. In the image we can appreciate a singular design, where, in addition to the colour, a kind of forged is inserted into the slats that, in addition to giving it a novel look, gives an interesting perspective to the filtration of light.

  1. Customisable

The silver colour of external aluminium blinds is extremely attractive and modern, but there are also aluminium blinds that incorporate other colours. In this way the aluminium external retractable blinds acquire greater versatility and we can customize the spaces where we place them, according to our tastes and needs. The colour of our exterior venetian blinds can be maintained with a lacquered or enamelled lamella.

  1. Screen the light

As with other types of material, aluminium blinds can be found in a variety of design, with openings and closures, which allows us to regulate the light according to our needs. In addition, if the blinds are large you can incorporate a motor system to open and close them more easily.

  1. Easy maintenance

External blinds require constant maintenance and cleaning, but in the case of aluminium, this task is easier. The important thing is to keep them free of dust. To do this, simply brush them gently from side to side with a soft cloth. A sponge can also be used to remove dirt residues. To better remove stains on vertical blinds, the best way is to use a damp cloth soaked in neutral soap. In case the blinds take a long time

We recommend lowering them and let them soak in water with a few drops of dish detergent and warm water (never hot) for about 15 minutes. This is one of the most remarkable benefits of our exterior venetian blinds.

  1. Appearance always impeccable

The aluminium exterior venetian blinds will always look impeccable, because they are more resistant than those of other materials and do not discolour with the sun. Allergic reactions caused by intolerance

The nickel contained in metallic objects is the main cause of a topic dermatitis.

Have you ever noticed redness, itching or even blisters after using a necklace or bracelet? So, you are suffering from allergic dermatitis, a reaction of the skin to nickel that is usually present in jewellery.

Although this problem is known medically as atopic dermatitis, occurs in people of all ages, it is much bulkier in childhood, due to the biological characteristics at that stage of life. As time goes by, the skin thickens, but the allergy does not go away. Looking for your locket necklace in Australia here at Love Lockets you can make sure your skin will stay healthy.

Adults who have nickel intolerance, specifically metallic jewellery, have the symptoms already indicated even when some part of their body has contact with a belt buckle, with the strap of a bag, so exceptional care must be taken with clothing and accessories that have metal between their components. With our charms in a necklace and the quality of the materials used you can forget about these issues.

Experts explain that this same clinical picture can occur in people allergic to certain animals, body soaps, laundry detergents, commonly used chemicals such as chlorine and even when dressing with some clothes, due to the type of fabric.

It is very important that the person identify those elements that cause injury and go to the doctor. While it is true, there is no cure for atopic dermatitis, there are ways to control it.

For these cases, baths of 10 minutes long are recommended in warm water with mild soaps, without using slang or sponges. Body creams should not contain perfumes and people should wear cotton clothes, which should be washed with bar soap.

How about adding pearls on your everyday clothes?

You can give a particular style to your everyday clothes by adding a shirt or a top, a few large pearls on the neckline. Keep in mind that you should avoid wearing accessories with pearls so you do not look too fixed or formal.

With a locket necklace in Australia you can make sure you look elegant enough for any type of event.
